DMX Passes Away (RIP Earl "DMX" Simmons, Long Live X)

This shit ain't fair yo.
RIP to that brother for real.
It's best I chop it up with y'all in here and stay away from any other platforms regarding this. I'm too hurt and I'd be ready to swing on anybody with any kind of jokes or disrespect.
I remember walking and riding my bike to the music stores to buy his albums when I was younger. I'll never forget how amped up I used to get hearing that first song off the first album. Man I'm rambling and shit. Fuck.

Facts. Def not responding to any texts with friends and fam bout it.

Im the type to chill all alone and not talk about whats bothering me.

Maaaaaaaan!!

Already dealing with a child in the hospital right now so to hear this even though I knew it was coming I'm all fucked up.....I wanna listen to his album right now but I know imma be ballin in about 2.5 secs lol

RIP to X
Prayers, love and positive thoughts for your child and your family going through it right now.

God bless ❤

X literally changed the way I listen to hip hop. He was the first rapper as a kid that I realized was doing rhyme schemes and it opened my eyes to how intricate lyricism can be

I was in 9th grade when his first album dropped. Can remember all the times me and my boys had while listening to his albums riding around the city. Man oh man.

So glad I'm leaving work early today. Got some work to do in the garage when I get home. Queuing up X play list and hitting play while I work. Not skipping any song.

Fuck man🙏🏾

Isn't X1 Sticky's brother ? I apologize for the derail everyone.

No. He grew up tight w/ Fredro's brother Whosane and started a group with him and a few other cats. X started buzzing at the labels and that's when Onyx started bringing him into their fold to amplify his voice. From there they grew close like family and they always did right by him. Still parlay with them every so often to this day.

RIP DMX

Some people didn't like this track but it was always infectious to me. Love it.

X performing for the angels now man.

This the first celebrity death that really hit me. I like Mike, Prince, etc., but I grew up with X.

First time I've shed a tear for a celebrity death too.

Thanks Earl Simmoms for the inspiration you've given to so many and being the realest to ever do it.

RIP
