I think people want to be reassured that there’s a good explanation for why Supergirl didn’t tell Superman about his parents. Since she’s presumably more knowledgeable about Krypton.
You’re assuming that everybody on Krypton is the same! And how would she know? She’s younger than him, so she wouldn’t know. She wouldn’t know anything about his parents.

Fair enough. Did you ever think about a bigger role for her in this film? Or was it always as we see it in the final cut?
Yeah, it was always that. When I took this job, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow [the graphic novel that inspired 2026’s Supergirl] was, like, number one for me of the things I knew I wanted to do. Ana Nogueira just killed the script right away, and saw what I saw in how the comic could be adapted to film, where [Supergirl is] even rougher in the film than she is in the comic, I think.

Yea I'll be honest that I don't like that change. I know there's a comic that has the change but I always liked it as his parents sent him to earth to help and not to conquer

I thought supergirl was older than Clark? From what i heard is she was older than clark when she was sent off of krypton. Clark got sent off when he was a baby and krypton blew up right after that. I feel like i remember reading that supergirl left krypton when she was a teenager or something so she has actual memories of krypton and it effects her as her world and everyone she knew is dead and shes alone on earth.

Her pod was knocked off course and went somewhere that put her in suspended animation that had her stuck as a teen

Saw it this past weekend.

What's all the whiny and bitchin about(not y'all, all the loser fuck incels on the net)? This movie was great.

Folks that complained it was too much humor are fucking dumb. The humor was perfect. 9/10.

Gunn 2-0 so far with DC

DC James Gunn>>>>>>>Marvel James Gunn.

Went and saw this today. I thought it was pretty good. I love how they just jumped right into it. We didn't need an origin, we just start where superman gets his first fight.

Mr. Terrific was fucking awesome. Definitely need to see some more of his character somehow in the future. Hawkgirl and guy gardner was cool too.

Jimmy Olsen I didnt hate as much as i thought I would. Was funny his relationship with lexs chick.

Fights were cool. Special effects didn't look horrible. Definitely a better lex than eisenberg.

Will miss Cavill as superman, but corenswet isn't bad. Younger too so we will see him sticking around much longer.

That Kat chick at the daily planet was looking sexy. Lois, not so much. Not ugly though.

Dunno how I feel about supergirl. Can't really judge off the tiny bit of screenplay but I already feel like I won't care about her movie. But it has Lobo in it so I might have to go see it.

Metamorpho was pretty dope.

Krypto was cool I guess. I didnt love him like the rest of the world did.

7.74/10

Im kind of interested more in that Jimmy Olsen show now though. From my understanding is it will be an anthology show and he will "cover" a different villain each season. With the first one featuring gorilla grodd. Im curious if we will be seeing any heroes in the show or if these villains will just be wreaking havoc and Jimmy writes a story about it. If we got the introduction to the new flash and he was a big character in the season that could have really dope potential though. Then maybe next season he covers circe and we meet wonder woman or some other hero/villain combo.

Haha at the peacemaker cameo too

He might be providing the investigative work that Clark uses

He could also be a bridge to characters Superman may not know about in this universe
