Hollywood’s major tracking service shows the DC superhero sequel opening to $40 million over the four-day holiday weekend (Dec. 22-Dec. 25), according to sources with access to data compiled by the National Research Group. NRG also gives a range, which in this case is $36 million to $44 million. Warner Bros., home of DC, is being more bullish in providing a projection of $50 million or more for the four days.

lol, nigga what? Movie ticket sales have legs. Avatar 2 on opening weekend did $135 million domestic and went on to do $2 Billion worldwide.

Where’s the international projections? The first Aquaman did over $800 million internationally.

And the first Capt. Marvel did a billie overall ($700 mill internationally)
The Marvels aint gon see anywhere close to that

lol, you’re too invested and emotional. Avatar 2 had a decade wait, big director, all the hype and only did $135 million opening weekend? Thats quite less than more than a few MCU movies. To most that would seem like a failure but it had legs and they worked the movie and in the end, it did what it did.

I expect the same with Aquaman, I’m sorry The Marvels didn’t have the same luck. Unfortunately the Marvels had a few hurdles with today’s climate, that I think Aquaman 2 will not have. Peace and light to you and yours this holiday seasons. See you guys in February.
