Netflix Dave Chappelle: The Closer

Chapelle always been unfiltered... it's gonna be hard AF for proponents of cancel culture going against him ...

Even those who willingly go to his shows and still be pissed with his brand of comedy

Look at the comments though. Instantly, "He's using the 'but I have a black friend' logic" which completely dismisses the point he openly stated this was about race.

Logically, this trans stuff is the best counter racist move white people could make. You make yourself a minority while simultaneously using the power of being born of the majority to further your minority movement along FURTHER than actual minority movements, and anyone who doesn't fall in line and believe in your belief that you are what you say you are loses everything or has to live in fear they will--and if any other minority calls you on it you can STILL strip them of even more rights and access while claiming THEY'RE bullying your new minority because you still have your white societal superpowers intact.

Also, for bonus points, sit back and watch those same minorities splinter their own power base by starting a whole separate minority trans groups so there are less voices in the collective minority pool. Thus, LBGTQ former white dudes/women STILL end up with more power than any other group that isn't straight white dudes or white women.

Shit is chess.

These discussions would go alot further if people didn't make exaggerated claims. Ain't nobody lost everything for speaking out against trans people. Ain't like the money they've made has been magically stripped from their accounts. And there's always gonna be an audience for them who agree with them and support them.

No the discussions wouldn't get further, and that's the point: You have a group that's built up of people who the majority seem to be white. You then also want them as white people to deal in fair and equal conversations on minorities when we already know that it is systemically impossible for them to recognize fair and equal on a large scale. Circles back to Chappelle's point: you can't call yourself a minority or recognize the actual plight of minority people when you can still employ moves like the majority.

The discussions about the community can't go further because I said they can take everything from people or make people fear they will. Hyperbole. Yes. However, it is fair for a group to be able to go back 10+ years back on your social media and rearrange your present. So me and other people's hyperbole is more damaging to talks between communities than actual life altering moves? No, because it's the same shit just literally dressed differently.

Furthermore, if your goal in business, which it should be, is to bring money in to your brand from all avenues that you can and the biggest payouts are doled by people who ironically have no issue with you shooting, killing, etc. legions of people but want you to be benign to one community over all others and that community can literally become outraged because they found some shit you said 10 years ago, you lose that opportunity money in the present day and then have to write a giant essay apology that'll be sarcastically swept away that is a problem.

True enough an audience will always be there, but that's like saying a job will always be there along with my account. Those are dynamic numbers. Imagine you get written up or fired for some bullshit. "You still got the savings account and it's other jobs." Yeah, but I still got consistent bills and I'm good at my current position. Why should I have to change because to paraphrase Franklin Saint, ". . . another [person] don't like how I talk?"

You typed all this just to agree with me that you're using hyperbole and that this fear of having everything taken from you is an exaggeration and that there will always be an audience for whatever form of comedy you find entertaining. If you a regular non famous person says something offensive at your job because you either are trying to be funny or simply don't give a fuck then you're not above consequences for those things.

I never said you using hyperbole is dangerous I said it stunts the discussion because it's coming from a place of dishonesty in terms of actual consequences and long term effects. You can't admit that you're overexaggerating something then get mad when people dismiss what you're saying as such.

New minority? Some of you niggas to read a book. There's nothing new about gays or trans people on this planet.
