We stand our ground as the 13% and wait for a candidate to cave to our demands of reparations.

I know it's a dream but its also what's absolutely best for the survival of our race

I feel most of this but natives above us in what way. They largely poor as hell. Yes it’s a few casinos and few who pass for white but I don’t see them as above us when it comes to treatment. But yes it is true they use us just for votes
 
And y’all we gotta stop this not voting vs voting debate. Majority of us voted and nothing in our lives has changed that much. The political game is not working for black people like we want it too. And I’m thinking maybe we not as close as we should be. Yes we are largely in cities but we don’t have any region where we are like 60%. For example democrats are concentrated in large cities and republicans are spread out everywhere and whole Cali Abd the northeast are super liberal it’s not a lot in between and we see the democrats just bend the knee and compromise because they can’t lock down the south or Midwest or western states. Yes they populations in those states aren’t as high but they impact everything

Blacks people need a new great migration and not just to ATL or Houston. We need to become a majority is some region somewhere
 
I think that’s our only hope we gotta build black towns all over again and trust each other. They be saying Asians don’t even vote like that and they ain’t all fucked up out here.
 
Voting don't seem to help (outside of local elections) and not voting won't give us leverage at all. We fucked nationally, so vote locally and control your neighborhoods

If we acted as a monolith on this we would gain leverage across the scope

Not voting would give us more leverage than voting would

The publicity alone would give us leverage. Other countries would get on code and follow suit just like the Floyd protests.

Only works if they don’t find the votes elsewhere and as you are well aware they are courting the Hispanics heavy and allowing them in the country in mass. If they do this, you lose all leverage you were seeking to gain. It’s a huge gamble that’s not required.

Better way to go about it would be to vote as a block to get someone else in office. Then everyone would listen up and there’s no downside.

They will find the votes elsewhere.. That's the whole point of financially incentivizing these immigrant groups, to create a voting bloc going forward

The thing i think you're missing is the genuinely not giving a fuck aspect of the plan. There's no gamble because we're not bluffing. We don't give a fuck at this point. There's no risk, there's no losing...because we're already losing

This ideal wouldn't be a one term thing, it could take 2 or 3 terms so we would just be sitting the fuck out for a generation if need be, let them court who they want. It would expose the anti blackness of it all anyway

That mystical candidate you're talking about will always be co-opted by some democrat or republican adjacent entity......unless he/she comes from the B1 grassroots arena. But then, let's say a Tariq runs on the pro reparations platform.... half of yall would openly revolt (starting with @Race Jones) because yall despise the conscious community.

Saying all that to say depending on a savior candidate is a lose/lose for black people. The actual best bet for our long term survival in this country would be to make sitting out presidential elections the new normal like wearings masks

So the point isn’t to actually gain political power to bring about positive changes for blacks but to just not give a fuck? And because we’re already losing no point in participating? Real question, no sarcasm intended at all. Correct me where I’ve misinterpreted.

Also, I’m not wishing for a magical candidate, I’m saying go to the Republicans or Independents and say do this and we’ll all vote for you. If you sit out a Republican likely wins anyway, so why not display that power instead of just sitting out? Then each cycle each side knows that we’re going with whoever does our bidding. That’s when we’ll see change.

How guaranteed though, injustice protest is a lot different and more inclusive than trying to get the world's blacks let alone all of us in America to be on one accord in the hope of changing the political landscape, if that even holds weight with that scene.

Republicans been winning elections in red states, purple states, and presidential with minor black voters already... they really don't need us
 
Toss in our major area of influence is generally urban environments, it's why a lot of the political troupe doesn't care about us... We stay predominantly in certain areas, we’re not as spread out or at least not in considerable numbers
