That's one album that you named.

What was Jay's album numbers looking like before Hard Knock Life Vol2?

What was UGK album numbers looking like before Hard Knock Life Vol 2

How long did it take to go 5x platinum folk, it came out in 98?

It was already 4x plat in 98

Jay debuted 2 years before that and already went 4-5x plat, something ugk has never and will never do.

Kool

RD sold 5 milli when the album dropped (within a year span)

Hard Knock Vol 1 sold 5 milli (within a year span)

Hard Knock Vol 2 sold 5 milli (within a year span)

But yet he couldn't sell in the south and west coast and needed Underground Kings to make himself pop down south? Ok

Don't believe the numbers folk.

Nothing u typed made any sense, I had to read it 3 times to make sure it wasn't me lol

So the biggest rapper in the game needed a barely known rap group in the south to be known? lmaooo ok

I just noticed he said "RD", I thought he was talkin about the album that I said which was Vol2, idk how RD got into the convo lol

Ok, Let's start with what you said.

You said RD when it came out, hell let's give it a calendar year, sold 5 million?

Is this not what you said?

I said RD which sold how many in 96, aint no dayum 5 milli, hell no, I don't even think that album hit 1 milli in a calendar year?

Now compare what RD sold in 96 to Riding Dirty, are they not the same numbers or similar, didn't Jay have videos on BET/rap city for that album?

How many times you saw a video from Riding Dirty play on Rap City Lol, I'll wait.

This nigga knock be talkin about shit that has nothing to do with the topic lol "well in 86 jay-z ate capt crunch" nigga what? lol

Who gives af about RD? By the time Big Pimpin came out, Jay was the biggest rapper in the game, UGK couldn't sell a lexus for $2. Them mfs went gold ONCE and never went platinum in life lol And the biggest rapper in the world needed them?

Go take a walk b

The biggest rapper in the game in 96-99 wasn't Jay breh. How was he the biggest in the game when niggas down South and majority of the West coast was even listening to this dude until UGK bless him into this market?

If he's the biggest in the game as you say, why did he reach out to some so call unknown niggas like UGK?

Bruh, nobody gives af what niggas in the dirt roads of the south was listening to lol The numbers speak for themselves. UGK has never even went platinum in they life, there's no reason they should be mentioned with jayz, period.

That's the problem with niggas now lol there's a big fuckin world out here and yall worried about if lil JJ and pookie is playin jay-z in the slums of the souf, when this is doing numbers no artist in history has ever done lol

Nah knock be talkin reality about music and not looking at magazines today on how ppl view the rap scene in today's time, instead of viewing the rap scene while being on the scene when it was all happening.

To think that Jay was being played down south and on the west coast is on some "Everybody love Jay cuz he's on top now" type vibe

At the end of the day it doesn't matter if he was played in the slums of the souf or not fam lol he was still the biggest rapper in the world. That's a fact.

At the end of day, Jay featuring UGK will debunk anything you type about who needing who.

He was already the biggest rapper in the world, so simple logic lets u know who needed who.

ANd if simple logic is too much. Here's not only a southerner saying UGK didn't blow up till big pimp, bun himself letting it be known lol checkmate

Blew up to who when the interviewer first words out his mouth said "We down south grew up UGK, and that "a lot" of ppl thought they had already blown up "

Lol, man you reaching breh.

You can't blow up when ppl already have those thoughts in their head about you breh, come on folk, Throw me something else to debunk and trash.

Like I stated Jay featuring UGK still debunks anything say about who needing who
