Reasons I'm watching zuffa boxing tonight

1. I have paramount+ I'm going to get my money's worth.. so if I'm already paying for it, might as well

I remember when the so-called "5 Kings era" started. People were so excite about the possibility of these dudes fighting round robin style. It's crazy how badly they messed it all up.

That's because the media started that shit .. And it never came from an actual promotion.

The Welterweights of the mid 2000's Spence, Garcia, Porter, Thurman..... It was easy for them all to fight each other... They were on PBC

When Showtime realized they had promotional rights to multiple super middle weights.... The were able to put together the super six tournament....

The entire reason the 4 kings era with Leonard Hagler Hearns and Duran was such a big deal was because it was different promoters coming together to make these fights.... They were willing to set differences aside to make those epic fights. It stands out as only one of time that many different promotions worked together.

More times than not... It's like it is now.... All the fights under the same umbrella happen... The ones on the other side of the street get left in the rain
