this is what i consistently try to tell people in facebook groups when they run with these bogus narratives about fighters ducking fighters..
im like bruh... there's way too much money, investors, and business going on behind the scenes that block these major fights. it's never fighter A is scared of fighter B, it's more than likely promoter A doesn't want to work with promoter B because the money isn't worth the compromise for them....
their cut will always be more if it's two fighters under their umbrella, so if they have to work with another promoter....shit gotta be damn near perfect in the negotiations for the fight to happen... more times than not the promoters clash heads, or are beefing about a contract, or a something that most fans don't even care about, so they run with the east narratives of
he's scared
he's ducking
he's protecting his 0
all that shit is bullshit..this is a billion dollar industry, these are productions that take 100's of millions of dollars and months of planning with a lotta investors and people who wanna make the biggest return possible. A lotta business has to be conducted between promoters with huge egos....we're exposed to shit like this cuz of social media and everybody has a platform.... but was this like 20 years ago...people would have been running with virgil ortiz is scared of boots, or the other way around...when they really got little say... it's really oscar and eddie can't work together to make a fight fans wanna see
