Welcome To aBlackWeb

It's not trash, just not that funny. I was expecting the same comedy and setup as Real Husbands of Hollywood. I'm still on E2. With different (funny) writers, it could have potential.

Maybe the name is fucking everybody up

If it's based on his life and the people in it cool

Naming some shit black af and not having people in it black af(at least skin tone wise) was gonna cause controversy from the public. Especially with nowadays sensibilities

This shit like everyone else has said is basically R rated Blackish. Hell this little girl is basically Diane in that everyone I. The family is scared of her

Blackish is hilarious as a show

I just never have the time to watch it live

So him and ABC on bad terms now?

I think he just wanted something more raw and uncut. Blackish seems like the very pg version of the same shit. He took himself out the box he created around himself while also putting his face on his product. And bringing himself to the forefront. That's boss shit. Larry David shit.

Just got done watching #blackAF

I thought it was good. They basically made an uncensored version of #blackish shot with the elements and styles of Modern Family and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

The backlash this show is getting as far as casting is trivial at best. Kenya Barris made (another) show based on his life and family...his ACTUAL family looks like the family we see on screen. I have seen twitter dissertations filled with woke buzzwords about how Barris is a detriment to black folks because of casting lol

Anywho, the show is definitely not groundbreaking super innovative tv...but myself and my wife were thoroughly entertained. Its worth a watch.
