Are black men the leading cause of death to black women in homicides? Yes


But are we (black male) the leading cause of death to black women (15-34)? No, it's cancer. There's alot of health causes that are the reason before you get to homicide.


And even worse than that, to say "he's the TYPICAL" black male, when based on the stats you posted it's 2 in every 100,00, does that sound like it's the TYPICAL black male when it's only 2 in every 100,000?

Again, the wording could've been a bit better and I would 100% cs her stance, but nah.

I respectfully question your meaning here. AS a grown Black Man, I admit I am still growing and don't have the answers to everything. What is wrong with being open minded or observant to someone's possible solution?
 
Can we get some context? How do those numbers stack up to other races? What is the leading cause of death for white women in that age range?

forgive me if i'm often amused with your tone, as i thought that was the intent, but i have no desire to troll or derail... every conversation i'm in i do my best to push forward...

i will admit i cease every opportunity to introduce humor into my arguments, but that does not take away from my argument....,

as an adult i've noticed that humor and satire are often our most honest forms of communication...so yea, if imma be brutally honest ...which is how i feel everyone should be, imma damn sure have fun with it....

but i don't mean to derail or troll,

i really wanna know how men outside of simple things like "not be taught it" or "see something, say something" can change this perception that we encourage a culture of killing our women....

Bruh i gave whole paragraph of steps using plain English how else can i break it down. And yes take it some kind of way you should because you a decent human being. Buuuuut our feelings aint reality. Black women got valid reason not to trust black men. We want to lead.

this is my proposed solution re: any physical or sexual abuse. otherwise, you're shielding the abuser or putting yourself at risk of getting the law on you because you wanted to enact some short-lived street justice.

long term you need to change the culture but abusers knowing they won't be protected when people find out, on some selfish "not my problem" tip, will make them less free to do that shit.

With that said, we do have a problem in our community, which could be hypermasculinity. Of course like most of the issues in our community, these are the results of slavery we're dealing with. But we do need to correct this issue, cuz if we're not taking care of or supporting our black women, nobody will. Making sure our black women are safe should be at the top of our priority list.

We have to find out why are brothas resorting to murder and how can we fix it.



Where do we even begin with something like that, as a people?

should i hold a rally and ay,
"aye nigga love your women don't beat them"

do we need to start a woman loving movement?

i mean it's gonna be kinda tough without niggaz sexualizing it, but i'm with it....

i just don't know how to attack this outside the bare minimum most "decent human beings" exhibit every day.....

Im ok with meeting violence with violence. You hit my sister im going to hurt you. But im not a lawmaker and i know that aint always gonna work.

Yes we need a whole culture change when it comes to abuse. And abuse of women is global but to keep in the US we have so many ways to avoid this and change it
