Bernie Sanders and the Look

Says nothing, I mean nothing??

You could have say, We are pushing for it and left it at that, but nothing Bernie??

I understand about being put on the spot and caught off guard, but you can say something in favor for something if you are truly about getting something done. This isn't a new ass topic that you're just hearing about Bernie

Hey what you think about ABW website, man it's a good ass website, and keep it pushing, but me saying nothing about the website, is me not really giving a shit about the website and its intentions

maybe my headset needs replacing, but i couldnt make out what he said

what did he say?

Baby steps, but the next thing should be brought up is the Freedman's Bureau case, where after the civil war, black free slaves were putting money into this account held by the gov't and the money that was in this account was stolen by white folks and all those blacks free slaves that invested their money into this account lost all of their funds.

Open up them 1866 Indian treaties and sue the gov't for taking that land from black folks down in Florida after Andrew Jackson went in and started them wars with black folks. Fuck it, clear books on this shit that's been done to black folks all these years. Shit is crazy how we were treated as a ppl

You want him to lose the entire white vote by talkin' about reparations? Politics is a game with more than one player

The entire white vote? Him talking about something that is owed to black folks will lose the entire white vote? So that would mean all the white folks that are voting for Bernie, are against reparations? That would mean that black folks that are voting for Bernie are aligning themselves up with white folks who don't want to see them advance in life because speaking on reparations will cause all the white folks to not vote for Bernie? They, white folks, don't wanna hear black folks ask for what is owed to them

What would you recommend black folks that are asking for reparations to do so that Bernie doesn't lose the entire white vote by speaking on reparations?

Vote for Bernie and then vote for him again and then in his 2nd term he’ll finally be able to do something.

President Obama and the United States has paid reparations towards Jewish people for the holocaust and airmarked $ 12 million dollars for assistance . Even though United States had nothing to do with the holocaust .

Combined with matching private funds, the approximately $2.5 million per year over the five years “will support $4.1 million in programming annually for organizations that help Holocaust survivors,” the JFNA said. According to JFNA, the funds will be used to advance “innovations in person-centered, trauma-informed supportive services for Holocaust survivors.” “With this award, we will be able to advance our efforts to provide crucial services to vulnerable survivors, including those living in poverty, those in the Orthodox Jewish community and those from the former Soviet Union,” Mark Wilf, the chairman of the JFNA’s National Holocaust Survivor Initiative, said in a statement.

After Biden launched the initiative in December 2013, the White House in 2014 named a special envoy to the community to coordinate volunteer activities to assist the survivors. Some 130,000 Holocaust survivors are living in the United States, according to U.S. government estimates. Wilf, a co-owner of the Minnesota Vikings, helped organize the distribution this week of hearing aids to about 100 people in the New York area — more than 20 of them Holocaust survivors — at Yankee Stadium in New York.

That the majority of white voters voted for Trump is, in my opinion, proof that any talk of reparations would drive white folk away. They already believe that reverse racism is a bigger issue than actual racism.

What would I recommend? It's difficult. Whenever anyone says that black people should only vote for candidates who have specific black policies I agree with them in principle, but then, as I said already, I believe that any politician doin' that would lose and there aren't enough black Americans to make that sort of move politically viable.

So I think black Americans are just gonna have to vote for the most socialist candidate and after the improvements socialism brings to the black community, hopefully more black leaders come along, there will be more educated black people and hoooooopefully they'll be in a social climate that is more welcomin' to reparations

White women were big voters for Trump, along with Hispanics. White women are the biggest group that get the most funding from Affirmative Action and other programs that the gov't has to offer, and Hispanics don't see themselves being aligned with black ppl and want to be the next in line to be accepted as white, thus them voting for Trump, hell most already claim that they are white already, they don't align themselves up with black folks until (not all, because there are some kool Hispanics out here) but most don't align with black folks unless it's us out there on the front line campaigning for everybody and they are looking for a hand-out from our fight.

I say at this point, we need to just be concerned with our issues and demands as black folks, if what we want will draw away voters or whoever, so be it, everybody else present their issues to the politicians, have rallies, and fund-raising benefits dinners and lay out what all their ppl in their community want and need and it's all good. Black folks still vote, but our demands will scare off folks? So be it is how my view and attitude is now.

I agree there aren't enough black folks to make a push to get what we may need and want right now, but there are enough of black folks to determine who else gets to eat and not eat and get the same treatment like us if we not vote and continue to ask for tangibles.

If black votes cause a shift in 2020, best believe in 2024 or 2028, the pandering and benign neglect act will be no more from any politician that wants the black vote.

Imo, voting for the most socialist candidate is not going to do us any good at where we are as a ppl. We are now an official underclass group in this country and that gap is widening each year.

Kool. Kool.

How did that work out for black folks the last time when we just kept hush hush on issues for us, I'm curious?
It didn’t work out too good but maybe this time things will be different. He’ll do things for everybody so by proxy he’s doing something for black people. And don’t forget about HBCU funding, and prison reform...
