Are your children your legacy?

You legacy is how you set your kids and family up to pursue what they like snd not have to work as hard as you.

so they are apart of it.

imo ....the other part is how you influenced and helped others to leave those within your sphere of influence in a better place.

Yes and no. Your children are who they are because of how you raised them. They choose their own life but I think are influenced by their parents in some way

The only part of your child that is your legacy is that you aren’t the reason they are a fuck up.

No one should take cultural advice from "gEt HiM tOgEtHeRrRrRr"

Your legacy consists of whatever you build, create, do, or are credited for. That includes your children which are literally your biological legacy.

I'm willing to bet that chick came up with that take after seeing fathers get celebrated last week. Unresolved daddy/baby daddy issues.

i think what she is trying to say is some parents work overtime in trying to force their children to do things that may not necessarily align with their childs personal wishes and/or desires

ie: “You have to become a doctor”

“You have to go to this school ______”

“Your father and I did this_____ so you have to do this as well”

etc
