COMMUNITY Amazon Prime Day June 2026

Do you live on a busy street?
No

It's more of a one street subdivision with generally the same people coming and going with the occasional guests coming to visit

One of my main issues is this kid that doesn't use a leash for the dog and it shits in my yard and he never bags or but I can never catch him in the act but I know it's him

I have a mix of Blink and Tapo. I have a subscription for Blink 'cause you pretty much can't have the shit without one. The Tapo joint doesn't need a subscription and records to an SD card. I have this one overlooking my front door:

Video quality ain't as good as the Blink shit, but I don't need a subscription to use it either. If I want to access the cameras while I'm away from the crib I'll need to pay for their cloud service. I like them enough that I bought two more, one for the side door/driveway and another to keep watch between the houses. I got a couple of 256GB cards for the cams to make sure I get everything.

Also, the Tapo cams are directly accessible from a PC running iSpy or VLC.

is blink the shit that be like "Peekaboo i see you" or some shit like that?

my oldest brother got some fancy shit everytime i walk by it say some slick shit to me

I hate going in his back yard

If you're just trying to watch a particular area of the front yard, I'd say cop a Tapo C320WS or something of the sort. It does have a wall wart, so you need to get power to it. It does have wifi but also has an ethernet jack on it. The app ain't bad and you can download any video directly to your phone. The one irritant with the app is that you can't rewind or fast forward video, which sucks. But if you're just trying to keep an eye on a part of the property, it works well enough.

Nah, I don't know which one does that.

Which subscription you have?

The eufy ecosystem looks promising and there is no subscription

I started with ring for the fam and I. Still use it in certain locations.

My brother has eufy cuz it saves to a HD rather than having a monthly/yearly subscription with it. he seems satisfied enough with how its working for him and the fam. Eufy has some solar options too so you dont necessarily have to worry about hard wiring cameras on all angles of the house. If your wifi good the cameras will be too

Lol

My fault, you did say that

Last question. Did you hard wire anything or is everything wireless?
My doorbell camera is wire with the doorbell power wire from the regular doorbell, this conserves battery life on the doorbell camera. My floodlight camera is wired to power, it was simple to do myself. My camera over the back door and in the garage are completely wireless like the link i posted. My inside camera(blink mini) is plugged into the wall for power. Video signal is wireless on all cameras. They're connected to the sync module through wifi which allows access to view and save clips. The clips are backed up on the usb plugged into the sync module for up to 60 days.

I've had this setup for a couple years and haven't had to change the batteries yet
That's the new joint. I got the older shits.
like this?

I have the same sync module as you, just not mounted. Shit sits on a "desk" in the corner of my living room:
