Yeen even gotta be an audiophile. Just a pair of nice bookshelf joints and a small sub with work nice unless you gotta have all the surround shits.

I have a mix of Blink and Tapo. I have a subscription for Blink 'cause you pretty much can't have the shit without one. The Tapo joint doesn't need a subscription and records to an SD card. I have this one overlooking my front door:

Video quality ain't as good as the Blink shit, but I don't need a subscription to use it either. If I want to access the cameras while I'm away from the crib I'll need to pay for their cloud service. I like them enough that I bought two more, one for the side door/driveway and another to keep watch between the houses. I got a couple of 256GB cards for the cams to make sure I get everything.

Also, the Tapo cams are directly accessible from a PC running iSpy or VLC.

Funny thing, I just realized I had the Tapo set to "data saving" 720p mode which is prolly why the video quality ain't shit. Just set it to 1080p so I'll check the difference in quality in the morning. I could have set it to it's highest setting of 2k QHD, but this particular cam only has a 128GB card in it. I'll raise the resolution when I get a bigger card for it.

Yes you can, you need to get the blink sync module. No subscription needed at that point

I have the sync module. I needed it for my "indoor" camera (that faces outdoors) so it could function as a doorbell chime... Or some shit like that. But, yeah, I got one.

In order to access the videos from anywhere you gotta have a subscription.

Bro, no. I've had the sync module for years and pulled up my cameras while in Mexico and anytime i'm out of town.
