Really thought he was going to get some kind of manslaughter charge. He was given a gun that he thought didn't have live rounds in it but as anyone that handles a gun... he should have checked it himself too

The studio/production company hire experts for that. That's not the responsibility of the actors. I'm suppose to trust that you did your job AS AN EXPERT, making sure the gun was cleared. Also...I never understood why a production company need live rounds for ANY movie/tv show they're making.

The only person that should be handling the firearms for safety is the gunsmith who’s the professional and job it is.

If he drops that magazine and pull that slide back to check the round in the chamber the gun should immediately be taken from that person and given back to the gunsmith to do their job.

Nonsense, anyone familiar with handling guns knows to check the gun to verify there are no rounds in it before handling it. Alec Baldwin is clearly not a gun guy or he would've checked.
