Active Shooting in Bryan, Texas...AKA Let's talk gun control, part....what number we on again??

That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying they gonna use whatever their parents have, regardless of how the parents got it.

Facts. And my point is to make it hard for parents to get them shits.

And yo let me say that I am a strong propronent of having a gun to protect yourself and your fam. Im def not giving my gun.

But some of this shit is wild as fuck.

Let’s say we change the law

How do you get the parents to get rid of the AR they’ve had for 20 yrs?

If it's used by their crazy ass son to shoot up a school and then blow his own brains out because they didn't keep it properly locked away from his crazy ass then let them serve his time.

They probably would since the firearm possession would be illegal

But if they already decided to possess an illegal firearm, how big of a deterrent is the scenario you suggested?

Right. There is not gonna be an overnight change. But in 20 years from now, the number of guns in the public will gradually decrease cause the old guns getting thrown out/decommisioned/broken wont be replaced as easily.

Eventually we will see numbers decrease big time. In the mean time, you make bullets for assault rifles and semi autos harder to get.

The question is, do we begin now and see gradual decreases in gun ownership in 20 years, or do we start in 20 years, and see a decrease in 50 years.

The gun as we know it will probably be obsolete in 20 yrs and definitely in 50

They will have more efficient devices for killing shit

I don't expect any new laws about guns making existing guns illegal. It's just about making access to sales of certain guns a little more rigorous in terms of background checks and screening.

I also think that people that allow others access to their guns either on purpose or through negligence should be held accountable if those guns are used to commit mass murder. Maybe people will start locking their shit up properly.

This same old story.

Mfers in Syria did have access to guns. Its a whole civil war against the govt. And what did those access to guns do? Got their cities surrounded, all entry ways closed, and got heavy artillery and tanks shot into them from half a mile out.

A ton of people died from those tank shells. More died from being carpet bombed by hellicopters and planes. But even more died from being starved cause the syrian govt wouldnt allow any food or medicine to enter those cities they had surrounded.

Yea the militias in those cities had guns. They was even organized. But the syrian army never invaded. Why have direct confrontation with mfers that only have guns when you have planes, tanks, etc.

And thats the trash ass syrian army. The US army can light up cities from miles away.

The idea that yall think yall can fight an army is wild. The idea you think the army would even fight you is wilder. Theyll starve you out.

Never bring up Syria to defend this point because Syria is literally proves that citizens can never fight their country.

Mattetfact, look up some pictures of the malnorished people and kids from those cities the Syrian govt put a blockade around during their civil war.
This didn't get the attention it deserved

That’s gang violence which is a result of white supremacy keeping black folks at the bottom.

That wasn’t random
