In the sports section the league threads should only be about the actual games and when news happen you make a thread on it

i really hope the next wave of games brings some more participation. The ABW bucks might be used as a buy in. Nobody wants to host a game only for the people who said they could play all of a sudden get ghost. Maybe a buy in will help mitigate that.
The betting thread at one point was big business as well with the ABW bucks.

It works in the NBA for Christmas day games and playoff series.
But look at how resistant a lot of those dudes were when we first started having separate playoff game threads. They eventually settled in, but my point is, some people dont like change. You can be that way at times
As far as the cinema section. Put it like this, who is going to go to a thread about 13 reasons why season 1 to comment while season 6 is going on? Who is going to go to the very first page of 13 reasons why season 6 now airing to comment on something that happened in season 1?

We pushed them in the deep end of the pool and they eventually got on board. We have to at least try because news get lost in there and we know how certain people bitch and complain when a repeat of news happen

I also agree with you about more threads about news in that section, but i've noticed that for the most part, a post about lets say a coaching hire...no...uhhh...idk, a disgruntled lockeroom or something. Even in the NBA thread, it might get a few reactions or none at all. If it was a thread, it would be buried by the end of the day.

Look in there now at the first page, threads made m onths ago are still there. I'll rather new threads that flop are made than to always see old threads that haven't been posted in for weeks still on the first page

i also spoke with Goldie about a few ideas i have in the works.
i actually was looking at bringing in more global people.
and in that process make a space for them.
