There is soooo many more forms of hip hop I'm missing. THIS is why I am more open minded than most of y'all with this shit because I can separate each one and enjoy each one without viewing the one as the standard of hip hop. If I don't like something that's probably not for me, than shit just not for me. But I truly enjoy the hoodrat movement that Sexy Redd and Sukihana is doing because shit is funny as hell, fun to watch women dance too, and I just appreciate their energy for being unapologetic about being sluts man. Shit kinda badass to me.

We all know that there are many subgenres of rap, and as many have noted on this site, there have been women proudly rapping about being hoes for decades now. That's not the issue. This shit is just objectively bad. There's no depth to the lyrics. They all seem to reuse lines. They all pretty much have the same delivery. They don't switch up subject matter at all. Outside of a decent beat here and there, there's nothing redeemable about this music. Wiz isn't a great artist. Pretty much every song with him comes down to how much weed he smokes, how many chicks he's fucking, and how much money he's got, but at least he can throw a witty line out every now and then. These chicks can't even do that.

It's the same thing for other subgenres though. Like all that your saying can be mentioned for rage rap, mumble rap, etc.

Y'all opinion won't change on this and I'm constantly considered the weird nigga here which is a badge of honor for me personally, so I won't speak on this any further because y'all minds already made up lol.

I said the same shit about mumble rap. That's garbage too.

I know you said you're moving on, but I do have a real question. Do you actually like these genres or do you just like a few songs here and there and are generally just open to the music?

I'm not a fan of all the genres I mentioned, I like some songs from each one. Like for Thot rap, rage rap, mumble rap, etc. I can't do that shit all day because it will rot my brain 😂 shit like fast food. It's good whenever you hungry and want a quick grub, but eat it too much and it gets old and unhealthy for you.

Tbh the more I think about it my favorite subgenres is probably Nerd rap, motivational player rap which I didn't even include that is like Currensy, Larry June, etc. But young me was like y'all whenever it came to mumble rap, and ignant shit. I just grown to allow different groups who rap objectively bad or repetitive to have their own thing over there, why the Lupes and Conway's have they thing over here.


It's a time and place for everything is what I'm saying. Im sure that's how DJs and shit be thinking about it lol.

lol I feel you. I try to be open minded like you I really do. I'll put on a Spotify playlist featuring some of this modern shit, and I can't even make it through one minute of the first song.

I get it, I used to be like that bro and tbh I still am, shit just gotta make sense man. Like for example if you here a random Playboi Carti song on Spotify shit boring and repetitive, but if you go on YouTube and see him perform (which he sucks at tbh) the thing you will notice more than anything is the energy from the crowd and the mosh pits and stuff which kinda clicks and you get that this shit is legit just rage amp music that listeners can't get from listening from Griselda.

It's just whole different worlds folks not tapped into. I had to force myself to try to understand it because I'm an artist.
