When I was in my teens and was a heavy lucid dreamer I used to do that all the time. I didn't have time to waste i wanted to explore shit. Id wake myself up and try again lol often.
Matter fact doing that probably led to one of my best dreams ever.
Woke up in tigerhawks body just flying not really knowing what was going on just that i was flying and not in my own body, then got shot out of left and crashed down into a building and got started dumping. Had the dream when I was like 11-12 and live action transformers wasn't even a thing.
Dreaming was the shit until drugs and alcohol came into my life regularly Iol. Sigh..
