There's the angle of what was just posted above meaning teams won't come trade for a player who makes it known they don't wanna be there. Other players look at how front offices treat star players and players who've had major moments. Remember the Celtics front office had a bad rep for years because of how they treated Isaiah Thomas and star players openly said that's why they didn't wanna be traded or go there really during free agency.
It’s less than a handful of teams elite player go to when they damn a trade or free agency.

Everybody else gotta get assets in the draft and hope the strike and Portland is one of those teams.

They gotta do EVERYTHING they can to get draft capital

I thought he had a very great regular season but just wasn't as impactful in the post season. He wasn't trash but just didn't do enough the later the series went on

They will be fine imo

as a team you have a cap on how far you can go with Sabonis being your 1st or 2nd best player

I found it through the members link (odd place). I don't see a magnifying glass on my chrome browser.

He bears most of that playing through an injury when he shouldn't have

Could they have protected him from himself? Maybe, but he was adamant about trying to play

Oh I agree he should've sat himself down but it just showed other players that Boston won't reward you making that sacrifice for them. Remember this is before anyone knew just how bad his injury was. At that point it was thought to be just a normal injury.
