Yeah but I don’t think the Knicks need to gamble on Zion either

Zach lavine is a better gamble imo
I dont disagree, mostly because we need to trade Randle either way, so adding a Zion or Lavine also means that Randle is gone, so theres addition by subtraction there.

My concern though is that both players are risky but Lavine would require more assests imo.

We don’t have anything they want besides Bridges and Bridges is off the table so getting a Zion would be difficult. In an ideal scenario we want to pair Zion and Bridges together.
you’re getting too caught up in the hypothetical trade

A team like the nets needs Zion despite the risk more than Miami does

That’s it

And Zion is probably cheaper than you think due to his history

I’m with it if we can get a deal in place that makes sense for both parties.

Lmaooo. True.

Knicks can also stay pat.

Bring in FVV, get a minor upgrade at the 5, and wait for the next star to demand a trade that actually fits the team.

It means having to watch Zion another season, but its the best move imo.

Why? Y’all got Brunson.
I generally dont like small guard lineups, but FVV is a really good defender and can defend bigger players. That means we can play them together. That gives us more consistent shooting and a player who can take over at times and be a decent secondary/tertiary play maker. This way we'll be able absorb Randles deficincies more.

We can also bring Grimes off the bench and make him and IQ a 1-2 punch.

Idk how you would afford FVV without a trade

Gotcha.

We in Chicago do not want Randle

It’s wild how windhorst shook off being a Lebron dickeater to being one of the leading guys for news especially on things woj has no real sources on
