@Water Ur Seeds Tony Bloom is da GOAT. Played this perfectly. Chelsea probably should not deal with Brighton for at least a decade. They definitely have our number.

With a sell on fee too!!!

Todd will be drunk in his armchair all week doing an Elvis on his TV everytime SSN comes on...

Financially its a great deal for Brighton but this one will really fck the team up, theyre nowhere near as effective when Caicedo isnt in the team... Though I heard Milner bossed the midfield in the last pre season game...

The reason Liverpool could pull out such big fee, which is out of the norm for them, is because they unexpectedly got rid of Hendo and Fabinho to Saudi which free'd up about of £50mil, so thats £50mill out of nowhere...

And also got rid of £100's of thousands off there wage bill with Milner, Ox, Keita etc all leaving, so was a perfect situation for them...

Forgetting Ben White for £60mill too...

Ben White fee: free sold: £60mil
Burn fee: £3.5mil sold: £15.5mil
Cucu fee: £18mil sold: £65.5mil
Bissouma fee: £14mil sold: £30mill (would had been more if not for his police case)
Trossard fee: £15mil sold for £27mill
Mac Alilister fee: £12mil sold for £42mil (would had been more but he could had gone cheaper window before)
Sanchez fee: free sold for £25mill
Caicedo fee: £4.5mill sold for £111mill

Incoming: £67mil Outgoing: £375mil

Can't hate only envy.
Brighton are showing how to run a football club properly from top to bottom.
It all starts with recruitment and ends with dealmakers on the selling end (market connections and intel being the conduit it all runs through)

Thing is how long can they keep losing their best players (and staff) and replace them with a like-for-like??? Surely it cant go on forever!!! lol

Caicedo is gonna really hurt as hes not replaceable and hes perfect for Liverpool too...

With that said, Bloom is a professional poker player which helps in negotiations... Hes not like Levy where he holds players hostage for stupid money... With Bloom when they want to leave he lets them go just at the right price... Which also attracts players to the club, knowing if they ball out and attract attention they can move on...

Brighton loaned out Caicedo when they bought him though, he took his chance when Bissouma went to Spurs...

Thats another thing about Brighton, they dont buy players like: Caicedo, Trossard, Mac Allistair, White, Mitoma, Enciso etc and play them straight away... They loan them out for a season or two and bed them in slowly so they know the style of play and their roles...

I wouldnt be surprised that if Caicedo went to United back and was a bust before going to Brighton... He would had been perfect for us now under ETH though...
