Liverpool would give him a lot more grace than Bayern based on recent indication.

In the past 20 years, only 2 managers have managed to last more than 2 years at Bayern, Magath from 2004 and Guardiola from 2013.
Bearing in mind they were for the most part actually winning bundesliga titles throughout much of this period particularly the last decade.

Meanwhile Klopp finished 8th, 4th, 4th, 2nd in his first couple of seasons in the Premier league. He didn't win anything till that 4th season finishing second in the league, when the champions league triumph came about. Everything else prior were finals but perennial losers in them.

So if Alonso is building something at Liverpool that the fans and owners can grasp onto, he'll have a lot more grace IMO at Liverpool to get across his ideas and philosophy in the long-term. However even if he went to Bayern and only lasted a season, it ain't like he's in good company with top managers of the past at the club, so not a career ender.
