I don’t think they should be penalized, they won more games than the 9th and 10th seed, just to lose because one of the lower seeds had a hot game.

That doesn’t even apply for the west this season so fighting to win the play in means something

Whereas pre play in some teams just might start packing it in just because they are the 10th seed
