2022-2023 College Football Discussion

I’m more hype about his value as a recruiter

We’ll have other QB options if he can’t play

I think that vastly over stated.

He dont camp and he dont complete against th#1e the QBs in this class in those events so they really dont know how good he is and his tape is just solid not even great. I mean bruh had games last year where he had less than 100 yards passing.

The more I watch him the more I see a mid tier 4 star with the last name that bumped him up (shouldn't be a perfect prospect)

Its crazy because I watched 247 knock this Kid Shelton Sampson from BR down to a 4 star for not camping and doing events but Arch does the same and have a perfect rating.

Hes like the 9th best QB in this class at best.

I watched all those Cali kids sling it and shit was impressive as hell. The kid from Detroit has ADVANCE skill IMO and the one from Denton Ryan is a monster and proves at the highest level in Texas HS football which cant be over looked

I don’t think it can be overstated when you look at how our class looks now compared to before he committed

And if he was a mid 4* recruit I would be just as hype…I trust Sark to make him look good

It has more to do with NIL

Yall had a top 5 class last year.

Also I know for a fact that 2 of the 5 stars Williams and Cook was coming to Texas regardless even though the committed after Arch

Yeah but if Arch doesn’t commit, those are guys who watch how the season goes before deciding to come. We aren’t the only place with NIL. I’d rather have them on board before the season with Arch leading the pack.

Following Texas’ 30-7 loss to Iowa State last season, Longhorns defensive line coach Bo Davis caused quite a stir when a video leaked that showed him lighting into Texas players in an expletive-filled rant on the bus back. During Big 12 Media Days, Longhorns running back Bijan Robinsonwas asked about the impact and aftermath of Davis’ rant heading into the 2022 season.

"It's just about weeding out that energy that we did not need on the team from last year to this year,” Robinson said. “Now seeing us being the player-led team and do what we have to do to get where Texas has been before — we're not letting up for anything. If something is going on, we are going to address it right away. If something negative comes into our culture, we're just going to have to address because all the waiting to see what happens or comes out of the situation, that's how you lose the edge. That's how you go 5-7. For us, we're just trying to do everything right in addressing things that need to be addressed ... . All the negative energy, we're trying not to have that for the team."

A player led team in college where kids stay 3 years or transfer out fast?

That’s not good look IMO. Luckily Texas is in a weak conference and can recruit better than everybody else in the big 12.

Just imagine Saban players saying they run the team.

Wasn’t that LSU title team pretty much player led? Y’all had some mature ass dudes

Nope. We had Dave Aranda and Coach O would never let players run shit. His mentality ain’t like that.

Wr had a pretty good coaching staff that had skins in the wall

Forgot about Aranda but always heard O was a players coach
