In my view I always got the sense that the last 2 or 3 years the league was trying to push an international player to the be the face of the NBA because they want to expand. As a result, I always felt Giannis and his journey got a bigger push because of it especially when he won one of those MVPs over Harden. Even his moniker "Greek Freak" and now this title. I aint mad at it tho. Giannis is doing his thing no doubt.
NBA needs more dominant American big men
inb4 somebody mentions Chet holmgren lol
I think if he keeps working on his handle and shot that he is gonna end up playing the 3 as opposed to a 4 or 5 spot.

I tapped out at 9 mins. Giannis just doesn't have the relatable personality to be the face of the nba. He's boring and invisible off the court.
It's that simple.
We stink as far as big men and the Olympic team is a perfect example. Also there's no xenophobia with these foreign players just an unfamiliarity with their games and the American born players have a better report with the media due to AAU circuits and things of that nature. NBA players seem to have cliques and were salty about Giannis turning down their workout invitations. Dinwiddie and McCollum made trash tweets but that doesn't mean the whole league is xenophobic because they're reluctant to give Giannis propsNBA needs more dominant American big men
