After admitting waiting list was #fakenews, Washington selling single-game tickets

One of the biggest pieces of #fakenews in Washington died in June, when the local professional football team admitted there wasn’t a waiting list to buy season tickets.

Now, they’re scrambling to sell single-game seats. According to Scott Allen of
the Washington Post, they’re sending out mass emails to all their list subscribers. In previous years, they’d sell a few single-game tickets under the guise of returns from visiting teams, but this campaign is a new thing.

The team once claimed that as many as 200,000 people were on the waiting list, now there’s a concerted effort to get fans into FedEx Field.

To encourage that, they’ve made a number of changes, including offering discounts on food purchases for season ticket members. They’ve also taken some seats in the cavernous stadium off the market, including obstructed view seats. That’s at least the fourth time the team has removed seats since 2010.

“We identified a lot of seats in those areas were being resold or had a high volume of visiting team fans, so when you take that out of the mix, that really helps preserve the value of our tickets for our season ticket holders,” said senior vice president of consumer sales and marketing Jake Bye.

Single-game tickets remain available for their opener.

Aaron Rodgers wants NFL and its players to ignore President Trump’s criticism

Aaron Rodgers loves that LeBron James ignored President Donald Trump’s criticism, which included mocking the NBA star’s intelligence. The Packers quarterback called James’ non-response “absolutely beautiful.

“At a time where he’s putting on display his school, which is changing lives, there’s no need [to respond],” Rodgers told Michael Silver of NFL Media. “Because you’re just giving attention to that (tweet); that’s what they want. So just don’t respond.”

Rodgers suggests the NFL could learn a thing or two from James. The best response, Rodgers said, is no response to President Trump’s shots at the league and its players over the national anthem.

“I think that the more that we give credence to stuff like that, the more it’s gonna live on,” Rodgers said. “I think if we can learn to ignore or not respond to stuff like that — if we can — it takes away the power of statements like that.”

Rodgers has never taken a knee during the anthem, but he said critics have unfairly and inaccurately cast NFL players who have protested during the anthem as unpatriotic or anti-military. Players have protested to raise awareness about social injustice.

“I don’t know how many times we can say, as a player and as a group, how much we love and support and appreciate the troops, and the opportunities this country allows us,” Rodgers said. “But this is about equality and something bigger than ourselves, and bringing people together, and love and connectedness and equality and social justice, and putting a light on people who deserve to have the attention for their causes and their difficult situations that they’re in. You know, people have their opinion — you shouldn’t do it during the anthem, you shouldn’t do it during this — that’s fine. But let’s not take away from what the real issue is.”

Jaemoms does football too?

Fuck that team and their stadium.
I was just there last week and that is one of the worst stadiums to go see an event at. The traffic right before you can drive up to the parking lots is ridiculous and that's because they mismanage that shit. Having parking attendants hang out like half a mile or so before you get to the parking lot and transform cars coming in from 3 different directions into 4 lanes of cars where they have to stop and take a minute or so to check each car for their parking lot info/ticket etc. So stupid. By the time people get done with that shit and park their cars, the event is at halftime or almost over.

Dan Snyder aint shit.
