yes, several times. Each time it was DPD on me except for the one time I was swarmed by every available West Bloomfield cop with guns drawn 'cause they thought I was trying to break into the store I worked at. 20 or so squad cars, shitload of cops jumping out with guns drawn and me just mad as shit 'cause I had all the proof in the world that I worked there and they still didn't believe me.

But yeah, I’m not for gentrification of any kind from anyone. It’s not fair to displace lower income folks.

This would be more so classism. It's what's made DC change the past decade. It's not all white people, it's alot of middle class "brunch and day parties are my life" new money niggas displacing people in DC and other major cities.

Edit: if anyone saw or has seen the Don't Mute DC thing on social media over the past couple years it ain't just white people that complained. It was alot of these new Black folks who moved to the city with no idea that DC has it's own culture that you adapt to not the other way around. That's been misunderstanding has been the cause of alot of tension and people who moved here saying they feel like outsiders

But where has this happened??? That's the million dollar question. If you can't point to an area where Black folks have bought up the homes and businesses and then drove out the lower income Black folks, then this is all theoretical hype. Sure you may not like the idea of it happening, but unless it has actually happened what are you really talking about?
