Canelo lost against a bigger fighter that a lot of people thought he would lose against. Fighters don't usually suffer much backlash when they fight above their station. In this case, Crawford would be the one stepping up, Canelo is a big name. Winning would definitely help his legacy.

It's harder to go up in weight and fight opponents at a higher weight class than fighting in your weight class. It takes a lot of work.

Canelo learned that the hard way going up to fight Bivol (also the wrong guy to fight first). Pacquiao (at welterweight) and others learned this the hard way too. It's only different imo at LHW, Cruiser and HW because it's more about conditioning at that point.

I also think Canelo is the wrong guy to face first if you're going up in weight. People can hate me for this but I find Canelo to be a better and more complete fighter than Bud. Better IQ too.

I thought that fight was dead multiple times and i thought alot of that was in regards tonthe health/status of spence

Thats a bs explanation because manny got a bs 154 title after Margarito go a bs title shot vs some bum coming of a suspension

Different timer but the logic is stupid

Weight.

And yes, Crawford is solidified. However, if he wants one big fight to out on as the capstone to his legacy, what would be better than this?

Canelo said he didn't want the fight either until the money was put on the table. You're probably right, but Bud didn't even entertain that really. He's always been looking toward the fight that was generally perceived as being more of a challenge.

True, but money is money. Bud could take some easier fights that are easier to make and come out with the same amount of money.

I'm not saying money isn't an issue. I'm just saying that I believe Bud is also motivated by the prospect of going with a big fish hunt.

I was talking about the Floyd fight not the Bivol fight. Floyd didn't outweigh Canelo and Canelo still got washed.
