Canelo is the bigger name. Mexicans have blind allegiance. And they are the biggest market in the sport. Canelo will always be the bigger right.
 
Bud not going back down in weight, Tank highest weight is 140.

It's just not a fight for either guy. Tank still fighting lightweights.

Canelo said he didn't want the fight either until the money was put on the table. You're probably right, but Bud didn't even entertain that really. He's always been looking toward the fight that was generally perceived as being more of a challenge.

True, but money is money. Bud could take some easier fights that are easier to make and come out with the same amount of money.

I'm not saying money isn't an issue. I'm just saying that I believe Bud is also motivated by the prospect of going with a big fish hunt.

I agree with you. I've heard Bud in the past say he would do it for the right price but I don't know I guess we wait.
 
I can't see Canelo coming down. Under WBO, WBA, IBC and WBC rules I believe he would have to vacate to face another champion no? I don't know why Canelo would want to vacate 3 belts (1 shy of being Undisputed) to face someone in a lower weight class he once competed in.

It would take years for Canelo to win back what he gives up. If Bud has to go up 15-20lbs, there's no way I see him beating Canelo either. Bud would have much more to gain going up than staying where he is and since Canelo is a bigger draw I can't see him bending over backwards for Bud.
