Ok I am usually just here for the porn but I finally just had to at least make one post about this election. Straight up neither candidate would be my choice and I don’t care who you vote for but at least pick real reasons for whichever side you choose. I am so sick of seeing this shit about Trump is a fascist or threat to democracy. Dumbest fucking thing people keep flapping about. First lets actual look at what the word means:

“In simplest terms, fascism refers to a specific way of organizing a society: under fascism, a government ruled by a dictator controls the lives of the people in that society, and allows no dissent or disagreement.” - Merriam-Webster

So what examples do we have outside of words of Trump doing that? When Trump beat Hillary and said she should be in jail did he use the justice system to go after her? No. In fact if you go listen to him he said it would be bad for the country to go after your political opponents or their kids that way. If you listen more recently he even said he would consider pardoning Hunter Biden. So do we have a case of a government doing something like that? Oh yeah, they have been throwing anything and everything at Trump since he beat Hillary. Russia collusion, trumped up felony charges, raiding his places, trying to put him in jail, etc etc.

And I want to be clear here again. Totally cool if you hate Trump for whatever reason but literally the party calling him a fascist is doing all of the fascist authoritarian shit. Other examples of authoritarian behaviors.

- The FBI went to Facebook and Twitter and in advance of the laptop leak lied to the companies and told them Russia would be spreading misinformation to interfere with the election, causing those companies to suppress the laptop leak stories. They all knew it was his laptop and there was damning stuff on it but they didn’t want it to hurt Bidens election chances.

- Before Elon took over Trump was banned from Twitter and people were constantly getting banned from platforms for having dissenting opinions on various topics. So you take a candidate running for president and ban him from one of the biggest platforms in the world. So you are telling me silencing your political opponent isn’t a threat to democracy?

- They ousted a sitting president from re-running and put Kamala into place with no democratic process. Who voted for her? She got absolutely slaughtered in the primaries when she previously ran and was historically unpopular as VP. And then she just gets handed the job. What part of that is representative of democracy?

- Lets even go back to covid. Again, they would not allow dissenting opinions and people were frequently banned from platforms or ostracized for questioning the vaccine. The lab leak theory was considered racist until they stopped lying about it being true and then suddenly it wasn’t racist.

And of course they did their best to mandate the vaccine and force people to take an experimental drug even going so far as to implement a passport in some places. And on the topic of the passports lets dive deeper. When covid was initially happening the mayor of New York talked about how black people would be disproportionately impacted by covid bc they would have less access to the vaccines, etc etc. Then once the vaccine was out and going for awhile they implemented the passports where you weren’t allowed in restaurants and other places without it. So lets do some simple math here and put two and two together. If black people were disproportionately going to be affected by covid and you implement a passport who are you disproportionately keeping out of places? Sounds a little like segregation to me.

I could go on and talk about closing down churches suppressing freedom of religion and all of that as well. A bit authoritarian huh?

Point is, fuck outta here with Trump is a fascist or a threat to democracy. Think his tariff ideas are dumb? Cool. Think his abortion stance is terrible? Cool. Think he is bad on the economy or immigration? Cool. But IMO you are too stupid to even be allowed to vote if you think he is a fascist or authoritarian and aren’t taking a hard look at everything the left has done to be exactly those things.

And they tried to install a minister of mis and dis information. And it turns out they were controlling both sides of it.

I’m not wasting my time debunking everything, but he did try to go after Hillary. He told Jeff Sessions to do it and Jeff said they had no basis for doing so.

Everything related to Covid, if we had a better leader that didn’t speak out of both sides of his mouth that shit would have gone a lot better. Leadership matters when you’re dealing with a once in a generation pandemic. I don’t think people talk enough about how he bungled that and killed millions.

I agree Trump was also bad on Covid but that isn't the point. I am specifically talking about fascism/authoritarianism. The problem is everyone cares more about what he says than what he does. He is full of bluster. If you tell someone you are going to kill them that doesn't make you a murderer. Meanwhile as I pointed out, there are many recent examples on the left of actual fascism and authoritarianism. Covid lock downs, suppressing speech on platforms, mandated vaccines, forcing out a sitting president, etc etc.

Although it is incorrect to strictly blame the left, though it is mostly in that camp but it depends on the examples. In some cases it is the left/political machine. They don't want dissidents or threats to the power structure. Take what they did to Bernie for example. He doesn't want money in politics, wants to go after billionaires. Him and Trump are both populists in their own vastly different ways that go against a lot of the power structure. So they rigged their own shit against Bernie to get Hillary the nomination. The difference between Bernie and Trump is that Bernie just quietly steps aside and still plays ball to do what he can from the inside. Trump is an outsider and they hate him for it.

Another example. The left had their literal dream candidate in Tulsi Gabbard at one point. A minority woman who served in the military and was competent and capable. In fact she ended Kamalas first campaign. So why didn't they like her? Because she was anti war. You go against the war machine and they don't like you. So now they have completely pushed her out to where she is now backing Trump. Who is backing Kamala and who is she campaigning with? Liz Cheney. That tells you everything you need to know right there. How do the war monger Cheneys who were apparently on complete opposite sides of the likes of Obama and Gore, and Kerry end up backing Kamala Harris of all people? Well, because she is willing to just play ball and become a part of the machine. Same way Hillary was and the same way Biden was. They do not want dissidents. That is one of the core tenets of fascism.

We have an actual four year resume on Trump and guess what? There was no WWIII, he didn't lock up Hillary, he didn't suppress speech on platforms, and when they viewed him as a so called threat to democracy guess what? They got him out and he hasn't been president anymore.

So again, there are plenty of reasons not to like Trump but people should at least make them real ones. Nobody who pays attention is remotely buying the fascist/authoritarian argument at all.
