So you don’t understand the complications woman go through and how they need their S/O to be there for them mentally. It’s helps them tremendously
Woman, especially black woman have a high mortality rate during pregnancy. If you’re being there help only 1% with her it’s damn sure worth it.
It’s kinda selfish of yall to rather GO TO WORK than be there for your wife and kid.
“I’m” chasing greatness is a crazy statement
I was extremely helpful for my wife when she went into labor. She didn’t have to worry about anything but giving birth. I took care of everything else during that time. Made it very easy on her
I wanted her in good spirits at all time even before labor. A non stressed environment is key.

Obviously your stance cannot be "wrong" but it's still short sighted. It's basic af. It's kind of a ham and egger mentality. I'd rather be extraordinary anytime I get a chance and the woman i impregnate already feels the same way.
She will have plenty of support in the delivery room with friends and family by her side and ABC on flat screen
It's not even about the money like Du said. It does have something to do with my role on the team like 5th letter said but ultimately it's about what you said... chasing greatness. That doesn't happen everyday, babies do. 350 thousand times a day

This is actually very much in the realm of something LeBron talked about a little while back when he apologized to his wife for how selfish he's had to be over the course of his career to get where he's at.
To make it to that level of the profession there's a certain selfishness you have to have to be that great. And the people around you basically sign up for the ride with that understanding that there's gonna be times that you both want to be there but you can't. It's not right...it's not wrong. It's just the reality of being with someone who has committed that much time, energy and focus to their career.
