Imagine going to see your first born and not going to the game 7. Yall team lose. That is the last time you ever get to the finals. Fast forward 18yrs, your son/daughter dont like to do anything but be lazy and watch TV.

Lol it has absolutely no bearing on a decision I made 18 yrs earlier. Kids are gonna be kids. U don't make decisions on what they might be temporarily at some unknown time in the future. The odds of this happening is fuckin wild. Nevermind the fact that there’s labors that take hours. I’m already on the court knowing that anytime I could get the word she’s going into labor, I’m not leaving the game but right when it’s over win or loose I’m jetting.

A lot of people in here never played in competitive sports I see.
I mean I’ve never played in the NBA, but I could imagine how it might feel to win it all (or just to even get to the Finals). If Jordan still breaks down crying on his sixth, you know it’s real.
I love my kids, but I got 48 minutes to achieve my life’s dream. I’ll have my wife and kids forever (hopefully).

If it's a home game I'm coming to the hospital. No it's, ands or buts. An away game depending on the distance I may play but thered also be an agreement to alert me and grab me if there's any hint of complications. I don't give a fuck if I'm mid jumpshot. Timeout is being called and I'm otw ASAP.
Plus knowing me my brain would be super focused on the birth and not the game so I may not even be any good to the team at that moment.
