They literally said to Benavidez are you willing to leave PBC to make the fight happen and he said no, even though hes a free agent after his next fight and is free to go where he likes...

So him and Canelo could have their next fights then they could meet on whichever platform offers them the most money, PBC, DAZN, Golden Boy, Top Rank etc why is Benavidez refusing to do that???

In that earlier article newsletter with Dan Rafael below, it says that Al Haymon tried to renegotiate the 'guaranteed sum' he had already offered Canelo and Canelo refused to renegotiate, so they mutually agreed to terminate the contract... If it was down to Canelo wanting more money or refusing Benavidez under the current terms PBC could had prolly sued/forced Canelo as theres a contract in place...

“Sources with knowledge of the deal said those guarantees were all “for north of $35 million.” But when it came to finalise the May fight, if it was going to be against WBC Middleweight titlist Jermall Charlo, Haymon wanted it a discounted dollar figure.”

We know Canelo goes where the money is, which why he never ties himself down to one promoter/TV network...

It sounds like he was guaranteed a set sum but when the May fight was decided on being Jermall, Al didnt wanna payout all that money 'as Haymon felt Charlo would be a hard sell on PPV due to his inactivity and how pedestrian he looked in his decision win against Jose Benavidez Jr.'...

So it sounds like they basically terminated the contract as they couldnt agree on the May fight, nothing to do with Benavidez...

I'm always hearing (on Youtube) how smart Al Haymon is. I hope this isn't true. Canelo calling himself the face of boxing is a fucking joke.
My boxing Youtube algorithm must best be different.. Because all the boxing YouTubers who popped up on my timeline hate Haymon & PBC.. And the were celebrating Saul leaving PBC..
