And she could've said "next question. Edit that out". But because people think acknowledgment= accountability some get duped into thinking her simply acknowledging it is enough when it's not at all. It's a baby step and she has to take the rest of them. Not leave it up to the universe to fix her mistake. Because now she can spin the victim label again into "I admitted I wasn't a good mom. What more does he want?"

And the answer to that is absurdly simple: Be his mom.

She can do it with the twins, so she can be that for him. It's 100% on her.

The mother she's been to her other kids ks even more of an indictment. It shows she has the abiloty but consciously chose not to. Same way folks shit on fathers who leave their kid/s and go be super Dad to their new family she should catch the same heat. She by her own admission chose to chase fame over being a mother. Even the Tyler/Oprah shit makes her look bad because its basically "Oh so you wanted to stay home with them but not with me?"

People in general seem to have a hard time reconciling that alot of moms aren't as good as they want to believe even when that mother admits it herself. What her son is talking about, the emotional neglect and lack of actually being a mom, is something alot more people experienced than talk about publicly.

If the kids were all around the same then I agree, but the kids are 18 years apart, her 1st marriage ended because of her working alot

It's not new, people get caught up in chasing success and don't understand how that negatively affects their family. But to me that doesn't make her a bad mother

Naw people hold women to higher parenting standards and are hypocritical

And while yes it's insult to injury when the older kids see her acting like the mother they wanted, but at the same she changed and decided her decision to focus on career and money wasn't the best for her family.

I see growth and I see others living the past.

Whatever her issue and her son's issue is, they both need to let it go and move to try and have a relationship in the present. Unless it was some type of abuse or something unforgivable...but idk after you see death, you realize all that shit you hold on to don't mean anything

I agree in general people hold women to higher parenting standards. But the argument being made here is all things being viewed equally she fucked up whether man or woman. And yes...you are a bad parent if you openly and admittedly put other ambitions above raising your kids. That's not really a controversial stance.

Her son is allowed to live in that past because it directly shaped who he became. And as his mother it's on her to rectify that. A parent child relationship isn't some 50/50 thng. Parents set the tone for that relationship and if there's an issue due to the parents behavior then it's on the parent to fix it. It seems as if you want some sympathy or pass to be given. There's no letting it go and moving on for her son until she actually attempts to do better as his mother. Saying she's leaving it up to the universe is just further showing him that she doesn't want to take any ownership of her role in this.

We all live in the past because our past makes us who we are. Especially when iy comes to our parents. How you were raised has a permanent impact on you. And he's allowed to express how their relationship or lack there of affected him and still does when she makes certain things public

Sometimes you gotta stop chasing that dream to be a solid parent for your children. I let go of DJ'ing internationally when it looked like it was going to negatively affect my family. I was right there, on the cusp of international fame: Had a residency that had been reviewed positively in an industry magazine, had appearances on a couple of the biggest Techno radio shows, one of which was streaming globally and wound up with fans from here to Japan. Had done shows in Canada and had gigs lined up in Australia and Germany and I put it all on hold and continued to build a solid foundation in IT so that I could be where I was needed the most: At home.

Sometimes you gotta sacrifice your dreams to make sure they're solid; that's what you do for your family

I'd be a dirty liar if I didn't wonder "what if" a lot, but I'm ok with having been there to see my kids grow into the adults they are. And I still have time to do what I set out to do all those years ago, so I'mma see if I can make it happen in this chapter of my life.

You see the sun, the moon, and the stars everyday and you say it just was built by accident and random chance.

But if I came to your house, condo, or apartment and said it was built by accident and random chance you would look at me as a fool

Oh the irony is palpable

What’s your take on exoplanets and the beings potentially living there?

Do they know Him?

And do you think Ezekiel 1:15-18 is really a UFO sighting like people been saying?

Exactly. And im not even saying there aren't ways to chase your dreams while still being a present and active parent because there are. But when a parent chooses their career over their kid they don't get to then come back later and say "Well it's up to God and the universe to fix my fuck up. Oh well".

That last sentence right there is 100% truth.

She made her bed, now lie it in.
