Dr. Umar is a person that speaks with an aggressively charismatic style. So it reels you in and makes you wanna listen. Charming, comedic, interesting. Many things he says makes sense, but I think as a Black nation, we are past many of the talking points that he presents. He really isn’t saying anything revolutionary, he’s just regurgitating what’s already been told. What happens in this world is, because there’s a void that will always need to be filled, people will always try to fill it. Or at least claim to. Dr. Umar is that type of person.

i’ve made peace with the fact that a lot of our issues will never truly be fixed, maybe in our lifetime, but they’ll always be someone who presents their speech in a way where they act like they’re going to fix it. They’re not going to. I think peoples issues with him is he attempts to act as if he’s going to pick that mantle up, knowing it’s going to take a great deal of effort in order to. However, in the end he’s not going to be able to because what he’s aspiring to do? Takes a colossal effort. So he just comes off as a liar. He comes off as a grifter. He comes off as a person that’s telling inconvenient truths, but won’t abide by them. It makes no sense to have two different black women that you’ve made baby mothers. it makes no sense to act as if you can build a school for us as - Black people, knowing how many people do not want to actually invest in one.
 
I’m just not interested enough in him to fully listen to him. But I’m sure what he thinks he’s doing is for a good cause.
 
Like I said, you can’t go full Umar.

There are bits and pieces of words that he said that are accurate and worth taking in stride.

However, his attempt at Pan-Africanism sometimes is EXTREMELY radical, and he goes outside of the realm of normal and rational thought “in the name of black.” Then he sounds ridiculous, bigoted, and nonsensical.

Even as a woman who is very Pro Black, he’s not someone I just follow… I think Umar is an “ashy”. How can you be pro Black but harm Black women? Doesn’t make sense.

You have multiple babymothers because you keep impregnating Black women and you do not take care of your children? Negro please!

Definitely running with anything negative about black peoples. A lot of conscious niggas talk about the race like white folks do but say it’s under the guise of waking you up.
 
Just because you didn’t hear it, it doesn’t make it false. He has went viral many times for different shit and that was one of the topics.

He won’t be the first or the last to not take care of his responsibilities but if you’re going to preach to other Black men like they ain’t shit, make sure you’re taking care of your responsibilities as a Black man and father. Annoying af
