On the latest episode of 83 Weeks with Conrad Thompson, new Executive Director of SmackDown, Eric Bischoff took a moment at the end of the episode to make some comments about “the rumor and innuendo” of his new major role in WWE. He also announces that he, his wife Loree and his dog Nikki will be moving to Stamford, CT come the second week of July.

Quotes from the podcast are below:
“I want to let everybody know, the magnitude of this opportunity and the challenge and the commitment that goes along with it, is not lost on me. There’s been a couple of times over the last few days when I’ve been driving around in my truck or taking my dog for a hike and going, ‘Wow.’ This maybe – it’s not maybe, this is the biggest opportunity I’ve ever had in this industry. Granted, when Bill Shaw made me president of WCW obviously that was a very big moment, but I was learning on the job there. I had nothing to lose there.

“In this situation, this is an entirely different ballgame here. This is a very sophisticated company in WWE, there is a great team already in place. They’re moving the SmackDown show to FOX network which will obviously have a lot eyeballs on it, in every way. So the magnitude of the opportunity is not lost on me.

BISCHOFF REVEALS HE’S MOVING TO STAMFORD, CT:
“I’m honored, I’m humbled and I cannot express, even here cause this is a different kind of excitement for me. I haven’t felt this way, maybe in forever, but for at least twenty years. This is a whole different ballgame and I honestly, Loree and I, and my dog Nikki, we’re going to load up our truck and we’re heading out to Stanford, probably on the 1oth or 11th of July. I mean literally we’re going out there with the clothes on our back and some of it in boxes, and we’re starting over from scratch and I’ve never been more excited. The opportunity at this stage in my life and in my career to be able to make a move like this is so…exciting doesn’t cover it. It’s thrilling and I just can wait.”

He continues after Conrad asks him about the move directly:
“Yeah, this is not a remote control kind of an opportunity here. This is a deep dive. This is I’m sure a 23/7 kind of a gig, This is not something I can do on my laptop remotely. This is the real deal.

BISCHOFF ADDRESSES IF HE’LL STILL STOP DOING “83 WEEKS” WITH CONRAD:
“Oh hell no! Hell no, that was one of the things that I was most concerned about going into this because I love doing this show.
“I feel more energized about the industry as a result of doing this show. I think both of those things probably had some impact, hard to quantify it, but probably had some impact on this entire process.”

According to Wade Keller of PWTorch.com, Paul Heyman was in the Gorilla position with Vince McMahon during this week's episode of WWE RAW and there was said to be a cohesive understanding between the two.

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that while Heyman had influence in the past, there is more influence now but it's still Vince that makes the final decisions.

As for Eric Bischoff, it's believed that his influence will begin to show after the Extreme Rules PPV. It's still possible that Bischoff will appear on tonight's Smackdown since he was advertised but he isn't expected to be a regular television character moving forwar

Seth Rollins issued the following statement on Twitter regarding his tweet from last week:

"After a few days to sit on it, I’d like to apologize to @WillOspreay for the tweet I sent his way about comparing bank accounts. It was dumb of me & not in line with my values. The moment I pressed the send button I knew it was trash, but I’m too stubborn for my own good.

I stand firm in my sentiments that @WWE is the best pro wrestling on the planet and that I’m the best of the best doing it right now. After a helluva week of travel, our crew didn’t waver for a second. Top level humans busting their asses for the love of the game.

I couldn’t be more proud to be a champion with this company and represent @WWE and the entire industry in the way it deserves. No more garbage tweets. I can and will be b

The belief within WWE is that Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have agreed to terms on new WWE contracts, according to PWInsider, but those new deals may not have been signed yet.

Gallows and Anderson reuniting The Club with AJ Styles is seen as a good sign that the former RAW Tag Team Champions will be staying with WWE. There had been strong speculation on Gallows and Anderson leaving WWE when their current contracts expire this fall. They had reportedly turned down lucrative five-year deals and were unhappy with how they had been used in the WWE storylines.

As noted, Gallows, Anderson and Styles have tweeted on The Club and last night’s RAW that saw Styles turn heel turn on WWE United States Champion Ricochet. You can see their comments below:

- F4WOnline.com is reporting that RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman has been a big supporter of Ricochet and that has been a contributing factor of Ricochet's push. In addition to that, Dave Meltzer noted that Ricochet is “a guy who can appeal to teenagers” and WWE is trying to increase the teenage demographic for RAW and Smackdown.

yea, I read something saying Ricochet is in for a big push

this feud with Styles truly makes me believe it

With ticket sales struggling, the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia is currently offering a 2-for-1 ticket deal for WWE Extreme Rules. This same process was done for the WWE Stomping Grounds PPV in Tacoma. As of this writing, there are still lower bowl seats available for Extreme Rules.

As previously noted, WWE is looking to increase the teenager demographic for television programming. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com is reporting that WWE will be moving away from the PG direction in favor of edgier material. Meltzer commented on the situation with the following:

“They were very aware that they had lost touch with the teenagers,” Meltzer said. “They were afraid of completely losing teenagers, especially when AEW starts. This is a direction they felt they had to go.”

Take it with a grain of salt
