Official Wrestling News Thread

The edits to Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins on the Netflix replay of Night of Champions were done by WWE themselves as not only is Breakker's bloody face blurred at times but some camera angles used during the live broadcast have since been replaced with alternate ones to hide him. There is also at least one instance of WWE making an edit to cut to a crowd shot for a few seconds rather than showing the action after Breakker begins bleeding.

In what has become a common practice for WWE replays on Netflix, the "holy sh**" chant after Rollins puts Breakker though a table with a superplex has been replaced with a "This is awesome!" chant.

WrestleVotes on Fightful Select have been told there is a split in opinion regarding the future of The Vision faction, following the completion of their storyline with Seth Rollins.

One source indicated that some within WWE believe the group could continue, but only if it's reimagined, and that includes membership changes. Another side of that is some feel The Vision has run its course, and it's time to "let the pieces fall where they may."

Regardless of how things turn out, we've learned that Paul Heyman is positioned to remain paired with Bron Breakker. Those within WWE view the pairing as an important piece of Breakker's overall presentation.

After being backstage at Slammiversary, WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg Brian James was not in attendance at last night's TNA taping in Albany, NY and is not currently backstage tonight either.

We were told the two sides were still working out a deal for James, the former lead WWE Smackdown writer, to come in after his PPV visit.

We can confirm those discussions are, as of today, still moving forward, but whatever the process is, they did not lead to him coming to this week's TNA TV events.

TNA will tape next at the end of the month in Philadelphia.

BREAKING: CM Punk is officially scheduled to make his return to WWE on RAW on July 6 in Chicago🚨

It was noted that after some back and forth in the company about having him appear, he is now expected to return for the show, and he is now officially being advertised by the All State Arena

This comes after it was previously reported that Punk is expected to be moving to SmackDown shortly after his return to WWE TV, and that CM Punk Vs Cody Rhodes has been discussed for SummerSlam

PRODUCE promoter Adam Abdalla took aim at WWE ID contracts, referring to them as conning independent talents into doing "scabwork."

It began yesterday when Abdalla, on the promotion's Twitter, announced Marcus Mathers and Charlie Hall would not be appearing on the 7/16 event produced by the company as they had been pulled by WWE to perform on a WWE EVOLVE taping that had not originally been set for that date.

Abdalla announced, "If you cancel an existing booking with PRODUCE for another independent contractor gig that isn't a full time contract, all future bookings will be terminated."

The comment sparked a lot of back and forth on social media, leading to Abdalla writing today:

“Just a note on yesterday: The point of my announcements was not to name and shame talent. It was to highlight the fact they were promised the equivalent of a grant program and were conned into doing scabwork. This should be widely understood. PRODUCE exists to serve our fanbase, but as an idea, also as an institutional critique that shines a light on practices that are designed to devalue the talent. I’ll take 1000 bullets personally if it brings sunlight to things that will make folks think twice about screwing talent or the fans. This will always be the tone. If you want passive viewing, youve got plenty of options.”
