Eric Young has left TNA.

TNA confirmed that Eric Young has been released , and Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp has since confirmed that Young asked for the release. Eric Young had long worked in TNA without a contract, but had fairly recently signed a short term deal. Those short term deals had become the norm in the company.

Eric Young has long had a good relationship with Triple H, and WWE sources have long said that the door for Young to return is open. Triple H didn't want Eric Young to leave to begin with, but when Young found out Vince McMahon had become involved in WWE again years ago, made the decision to ask for his release. WWE sources we spoke to expected him to go there, though the specific role was unclear.

When he re-signed with WWE years ago, he actually never left his house for WWE while under contract, and had to sign an NDA upon getting his release.
