I guess even then i atleast found some of the feuds interesting getting to Mania.

They pretty much killed the exictement for me with Roman and Punk and i probably was the hypest one in here for that when it was announced and not saying the build has been trash but more so they just did it in a wack lazy way to the point I dont wanna see anymore segments.
Even when I think about the card last year the only match that was interesting from the build to the actual match itself was the IYO / Bianca / Rhea triple threat. Everything else was so mid to me.

Knowing what we know now about the Cena heel turn & the complete absence of The Rock… that build was brutal.

Roman / Seth/ Punk was okay but they tried rehashing the “we’re fighting for the soul & future of this business!!!” Like nigga didn’t yall do that at Mania 40?!! And Heyman being the centerpiece it just made no sense lol

Going down the rest of that card man lol 41 is one of those I would never revisit again

The 42 card is just heads and shoulders better in my opinion. I think the way you feel about this Mania is the general consensus of how folks felt going into last years.

Roman vs Punk has been a good build. But Ob vs Brock is clearly the most anticipated match on the whole card.

Cody vs Randy was already on the fence. But after last night and the reveal...meh

So I missed the show last night, so no idea how bad it really was. But I think the issue on the whole has been, that the build has just been too long.

Having Mania in the middle of April has caused a lot of the stories to be dragged out artificially. The natural peaks have come and gone and so we are just stuck in this holding pattern.

😂😂

PWInsiderElite.com has received a lot of emails asking about the Pat McAfee reveal tonight on Smackdown, which inserted him into the Randy Orton-Cody Rhodes storyline.

Those we have spoken to believe this was an edict from TKO brass to WWE Creative, not a creative idea that originated in the WWE writing room and was approved by Paul Levesque. One source believed the edict may have come from as far up as Ari Emanuel, but we have not yet confirmed that belief.

The idea seems to be that including McAfee in the scenario gives ESPN a new promotional dimension for Wrestlemania, given McAfee's importance and popularity on their platform, giving the ESPN audience something additional leading into their first-ever Wrestlemania broadcast.

According to several talents we spoke with today, Pat McAfee was hidden before the first segment on Smackdown and no one seemed to be aware he was going to be revealed.

Michael Hayes and Bobby Roode produced the segment while writer Christian Scovell was internally listed as well.

The Cody Rhodes promo responding to the attack was not listed internally on the planned rundown for the show.

There is a belief among some that some of Rhodes' comments were him shooting about TKO having inserted McAfee into the storyline.

PWInsiderElite.com reported last night, "Those we have spoken to believe this was an edict from TKO brass to WWE Creative, not a creative idea that originated in the WWE writing room and was approved by Paul Levesque. One source believed the edict may have come from as far up as Ari Emanuel (who is also McAfee's agent), but we have not yet confirmed that belief. The idea seems to be that including McAfee in the scenario gives ESPN a new promotional dimension for Wrestlemania, given McAfee's importance and popularity on their platform, giving the ESPN audience something additional leading into their first-ever Wrestlemania broadcast."

🤔

- 15-time world champion Randy Orton requires advice from an ex NFL player to win a world title

- The 5-way ladder match had the 4 contenders announced before the matches had been shown on a show no one watches

- Carmelo Hayes, one of the very few bright spots on Smackdown over the last year, doesn’t have a match

- The women’s world title program has resorted to ‘you mother is trash’ in promos

- The most relatable and popular babyface in Sami Zayn has been booked in such a way he’s now being called Sami Hogan

- There’s a fatal 4-way for the women’s tag titles just because

- They are holding off Seth v Bron Breakker being on the biggest show of the year so they can do Gunther v Seth Rollins for next to no logical reason

- They are a couple of weeks out from WrestleMania and have referees being cursed so they can’t count to 3

I’m not even trolling anymore, it’s just a really sad state of affairs for the actual fans

BREAKING: Pat McAfee reportedly went completely off script during his promo this week on SmackDown🚨

It was noted that situation caused WWE to react on the fly with Cody Rhodes being sent out on their behalf to cut an unscripted promo of his own on the show

This comes after it was previously reported that TKO was believed to have directly inserted Pat McAfee into the Randy Orton/Cody Rhodes storyline with strong speculation that CEO Ari Emanuel was involved

It was also previously reported that Cody Rhodes, several other WWE stars and members of creative are not happy with TKO’s involvement in the company’s plans heading into WrestleMania 42

Nattie was who they were pushing for or who ppl wanted to do it atleast I had read but i think that kinda died down. i think it should maybe be somebody else on the come up personally.

they couldn't go wrong w/ Lola even though she just got belted up tonight.

the womens division is so stacked n if they looking for somebody outside of the AAA roster then its quite a few women they could have end it.

you got Vaquer, Raquel, Roxanne. Shit, It would be dope if they ran it it back w/ her and Bayley and she managed to do it. She always wanted to work AAA and was happy to be over there

They dropped the ball wit Nattie. That feud would've been lit.

Bayley would be the perfect one. It seem like that 1st match was to test the waters. But I'd go all in wit that

Idk about all that. Don’t they still have an affiliation with NOAH??

NOAH was option B. And let's be real...how that shyt working out? Every so often they'll send a talent there to compete in match or tournament. But

WWE TRULY wants to link up with NJPW. Hence why imo Rock dropped this pic

WWE been trying to figure out how to do business with NJPW for the longest. The biggest problem...WWE pretty much wants majority of the control. NJPW ain't having that.

NJPW is just as big of a pro-wrestling promotion as WWE. They're not no small time company who "need" WWE for the exposure. I remember reading it was rumors of "talks" b/t the two couple of years ago. But I think NPJW nixed that rumor if I'm not mistaken.
