Guns in America

I've said this on multiple occasions: When someone really wants to kill people, they will find a way to skirt the law. There's not a single law passed that would have stopped this chucklefuck from getting a rifle off the street. Mans was on a whole terrorism watch list, banned from buying guns legally, spent time in prison on a federal felony charge of attempting to provide material support or resources to a designated foreign terrorist organization, got out two years ago on lifetime supervised release and still copped a joint to go shoot up Old Dominion.

What he's saying is true:

Your typical Barret M82A1 .50 BMG rifle only holds 10 rounds, is semi automatic, and has nothing that make it an "assault rifle" but is incredibly powerful and capable of punching a hole through light armored vehicles. Far more dangerous than anything that shoots .223/5.56.

You're not using a 50cal for home defense though. Maybe when we actually get to ww3 or aliens or zombies or something. Plus the ammo is expensive as hell. Though if someone has the money for a 50 cal then they probably have their own reloader

True, but I think what he's getting at is that VA's new bill is so hyperfocused on certain guns that others that are far more powerful are ignored so the law really makes no sense.

I just read parts of the bill. It effectively makes concealed carry illegal. It also makes the majority of handguns illegal as well. Lotta hunting rifles would be illegal too. Not one of my guns except MAYBE my S&W .22 Compact would be legal in VA, and that's only 'cause it's rimfire. My .22 magnum would be illegal 'cause even though it's rimfire, the standard magazine holds 30 rounds.

Their bill ain't about keeping people safe, it's about control and disarming the populace; the real question is "why?".

I want to buy a shotgun, but I'm too influenced by how they look to make a good choice. I admit I'm on some dumb "I like the cool looking ones" shit. lol

I'm thinking something like this though. The price is right. Much cheaper than the pistol calibre carbines, I usually go for. Are shotguns generally cheaper or should this price make me suspicious?

nothing wrong with liking something for its aesthetics

shotguns are generally in the $400-700 range.......unless u talking fancy side by sides/fancy name brand/genuine classics

so that price u looking at ain't crazy at all.......also u got other gauges other than 12ga that are suitable if u prefer shotguns

main factor is prob cuz the brand is ATI.......I've seen ATI make cheap AR parts but I didn't know they also make full firearms

but buy once cry once tho 🙁

Kel-Tec makes some similar shotguns that have been known to be reliable.......I'd try them 1st if u really worried about throwing away a couple hundred $$

Its a Turkish rifle, lotta companies sell the exact same model under different names. Some people swear by them, some say they're garbage. This one in particular I read that it was really picky about ammo. Like, the shit had to be pretty hot to get it to cycle properly.

I want a semi-auto shottie myself, something like a Benelli M4, but cheap 'cause I ain't got M4 money. I originally wanted a Keltec KS7 bullpup, but the idea of a semi auto joint is more appealing to me.

Ya'll boys came through because the quality insight was exact what I wanted to know about, and the Keltec joint was the other option. Thanks.

@Mr BFK
@konceptjones

I went down the rabbit hole a little, and I think I'm going to go with the S&W joint.

I'm going to have to save a little more because it costs twice as much, it seems overall worth it. Either of you have experience with this one?
no experience on my end

might be good since it's built by S&W tho

very rarely do they put out a bad firearm

I'm still more partial to pistol grip shotguns or full butt-stock single barrel like Mossbergs/Remingtons

Understandable. The thing I like most about the bullpup style is that it is the happy medium between the other two. It's got the stock which I probably need but the smaller profile like the pistol grip joints. I think Mossberg had some that kinda do the same thing and aren't bullpups, but that's where aesthetic preference comes in I guess.

Like this one from Mossberg probably fits the bill for what I want. I just don't like the look as much.
