for example

if you write a letter, you wouldn't call the body of the letter the heading or signature


jus like in a movie/tv show, you wouldn't call the setting a character

I’ve seen a few shows that were created by black creators that came across to me as people who know black people but don’t know black people.

A lot of 50’s production come across like that to me. Arron Mcgrugers “black Jesus” was like that to me.

I’m amazed really now when I consider the times, how in-depth into the black experience Fresh Prince Of Bel Air was.

I don’t think it’s a matter of race as much as it is a matter of how genuine does the creator want to be, allowed to be, can be, or has the desire to be.

Artist are weird and fickle people who see their creations through the lense of how people see their children. Sometimes what they want to present, doesn’t translate to others not capable of getting their intent.

Did you have trouble reading the words the show creator wrote?

There were quite a few of them, and I understand niggas struggle sometimes when overwhelmed.
