I been to Baltimore broany place you'll never visit is perfect for me
Exactly. It might make you want to do something but it's not actually making you do it. And those actions are a conscious choices to go through with. Music doesn't hypnotize you. It doesn't remove your ability to think for yourself. If it does then you got a problem.
Music has never affected you before? A song has never amped you up? You've never related to a song or artist and felt a way? There's never been a song that you played back over and over cause you felt that shit in your core?
Lie to me.
i love to dance, but it's more than just the song. It's about how the dj mixes them. te better the dj the more fun i'll have...I got one for you du,
When you went to parties/clubs/ social gatherings, Could the DJ or person playing the songs, put on a song that would make you dance?
When Back that Ass Up came on, what did you do lol? or better yet what did the chicks do?
not that i'll avoid... i just won't be in the mood to hear them..i'm about to get in the car right now, and i'm seriously debating on if i wanna pick a song, or just let spotify do it's thingBut you in a way admitted it can reinforce tje way you feel because you'll avoid certain songs if you're in a certain mood.
goodI been to Baltimore bro
It’s ass
absolutes are dangerous.
i said not really bcuz ii consider myself a self-aware person and it's nothing that iive notice in my self that really supports that feeling the way yall describing it. i love music. i've just never found it dictating the way i feel, or changing my mood
Like even the clip you posted..
How can you call it his best album and say you have no idea what it was about??
I like DMX and beanie Sigel because when they rap,I feel like I'm standing right next to them yet watching the shit thru their eyes...
I'm not confused... I'm feeling it... I'm in tune to what they talking about. I'm going on the same journey with them...
Then when I go back and reflect after more life experiences....I can respect the mindset and wisdom in their words even more...
Like to me that makes a fan.
Not some shit I gotta figure out later to feel.
Then after I research it... Is not some real shit to the heart.... It's just some cool shit to be like ooooohhhhh that's what he was saying....
Shit just don't smack the same for me
i can't stand line music,Cupid Shuffle
where does it say it changes or effects my mood? i just said i can feel their passion through their music...i can visualize their lyrics.....the music feels personal, cuz you know it comes from their heart, it's genuine. it's easy to connect to them as artist, and i definitely gravitate towards music that has that appeal, but it doesn't make me feel a specific moodbruh
come on
it's ok if you feel sumn when you listen to music, as you've said before

Ass will always get thrown when Back that ass up is played. How many niggas who wanted to be cool bought a chick a drink in the club/spot/lounge when T-Pain's song "Buy You a Drank" came out lol
Cupid Shuffle gets folks outta their seats.
@Tayboo, what happens when you hear Back that Ass Up or the Cupid Shuffle at a spot where you're out and you have 2 or 3 drinks in your system? Do you act like Du and ignore the song? lol

That's not even the original argument.bruh
all I said was certain sounds/frequencies can make you feel sumn
you admitted it made you feel sumn.. be it you feel their pain/passion or whatever it's sumn you feel
& that's ok, we're human
to quote the great Todd Shaw
"don't fight the feeling"
When Back that Ass Comes on, is it the song that makes the chicks dance, the beat etc or do you think it's them thinking hard that makes them dance? And is it a problem if Back that Ass brings all the chicks to the dance floor?
Baltimore been big fun since Vanessa Huxtable
This dude with the dreads is a whole clown nigga, but I figured it's relevant to the thread.
For those that didn't watch the video I posted, there were a couple clips on there where people were talking about how they decided to give up on rap and after like 30 days of not listening to it, they felt better, less angry, and had better outlooks on life. I think they were being sincere too. They legit sounded like people kicking drugs. That's crazy to me. People are actually out here being that deeply affected by crappy music?
