OUT NOW J. Cole - KOD

Finally finished it. Very great back end of the album.

Brackets and 1985 are dope as fuck.

8.5/10.

Still processing everything but I think my favorite moment of the album might be when the drums kick in on Window Pain

After a weekend’s worth of listens I’ll admit this album has grown on me...although I liked it after my initial listen I felt like it was gonna get boring to me (no Cole pun intended)...and while I did go on to listen to Smoke Dza’s new album and then gave my niggaz FBZ a few more plays...I went back to KOD and was surprised to realize as song after song started to play I was anxious for tha next track and even replaying certain songs before letting it ride again...I guess I’m late but pretty strong album by Cole

Fuck I’m ready to be irrational

Its an ok album.....way better than the last one but the one thing I don't like about Cole at this point is just his energy.....it's like he's constantly sad and speaking out about something but I'd like to see and feel more upbeat vibes and happiness from Cole....and just spit......thought he'd rap his ass off over some doper hip hop beats but I get it he's found his niche audience/ lane and rather than drive forward and expand it he keeps it in neutral

And stop the fucking singing

J. Cole’s fifth album, KOD, has broken Apple Music’s record for streams in the first 24 hours in the US with 64.5 million streams on its first day, Apple tells The Verge. KOD surpassed the previous record holder, Drake’s Views, by nearly 1 million streams. Seven out of the top 10 most streamed songs in a 24-hour period on Apple Music are now from KOD.
