The Angel Reese Thread

If Angel said fuck it it’s just a bball game I’m already rich who cares

She d been accused of not caring about the game and caring more about social media

Cameron Brink said fuck you to ref after fouling out there was no deep dive into her character

U niggas who find a reason to hate on this chick are mad weird

1) Fuck that Cac. I haven't championed her either. You didn't hear me cheer for Clark, so don't do that.

2) If you can't take the heat, back up from that fire. She knew it. Maulke did too, and didn't warn her.

3) I'll say it again: SOUTH CAROLINA. That's who I'm going for.

She could take the heat she got a ring like wym bro I get dis distracts but you gotta relax

Sadly Angel is the lastest black woman to get the tiny violin treatment. The girl was just having a vulnerable moment and for some reason people think she's not allowed to be vulnerable, frustrated, sad, and upset simply because of the position she's in.
But that's not not the issue here.

She can be vulnerable. People are just mentioning that said vulnerability only showed up in a loss.

Acho's point had nothing to do with race or gender. It was about character. And if your character has you doing some cocky-ass shit, then your character has to withstand the fair - key word here.....FAIR - criticism you draw with your character choices.

Turning this is "woe is me" is a cop-out.
Pulling the "Whataboutism" card is an excuse.
And calling this "hate" is just deflecting at its fangirliest.

People can still be assessed on their character traits, man. No one's exusing any racist shit that have come her way, or any threats made against her. People are just wondering where was all that two weeks ago.

Acho is the absolute last person you should be siding with on any topic relating to black people

Specifically African American blacks

"So, shoot the messenger, fuck the message" is basically where we are, huh?

Aight then.

This is starting to turn into that "Last Dance" thread with y'all uprooting the goalposts around here just to starfuck.

Y'all got it.

No

In this case it's fuck the messenger and his message

He is a goofy and don't have no right to speak on black American issues

He's aligned himself with cac talking points while also making sure to distinguish himself as a non American black person

IDC what his opinion is on anything related to black Americans

The day before the loss, she's been talking about the stuff. You seem to have a personal issue with that young woman that when people told you this already you still go out your way to spew the wrong stuff.
This one of those cause he didn't see it, then it didn't happen

Or it feels like it

Yes you can ignore the message based on the messenger. You do it with trump because you know his stance and that Emmanuel dude a dork

She actually gave props to Clark before the game. In fact she said she loved her and her game. Went on to say that the trash talk was born out of nothing but competiveness and that she does what she does to try to get in her opponents heads to get a mental edge. Since you know, she's trying to win.

That's from before the game and it's an article that illustrates how these rivalry has helped grow the game of women's basketball. Which was proven when the game broke viewership records. So, if she can speak glowingly of her opponent and chief rival, be a catalyst for the growth of her sport, and do everything in the name of winning. I ask, what is there to hate on?

People spoke on it much more elegantly and with more graciousness than I can offer. I think if you find yourself hating on this young black women who is both a champion on and off the court then you probably need to reanalyze yourself and figure out why you standing on the wrong side of greatness. Because make no mistake, Angel Reese is great.
