HBO The Idol (CANCELED After 1 Season)

Couldn’t get past the first episode. There was nothing intriguing about it, just a bunch of gratuitous nudity and sex. Acting was piss poor and the show seems to take itself too seriously.
 
I have never seen a show that has bought right wing and left wing journalist together in agreement.
 
Is it so bad it’s good though or what, cuz every single person seems to be excited to tell you how bad it is, yet it’s the only fucking thing being discussed this summer.
 
seemed like it took a quick turn towards the end. I damn near feel like I missed something with the turn. *shrugs*

I wouldnt be surprised if this shit was something like empire where it was just an outlet for some artists to get they music shit off and add some so-so acting to it as the long form video.

didnt realize shorty was johnny depps daughter either.
 
Surprised Suzanna Son (Chloe) doesn't have many songs. Would have thought she'd be a big hit after the show

There was no set plan for a multi-season story, though there were options to continue the show following the end of the five-episode season. Of that finale, Hollywood Reporter critic Lovia Gyarkye wrote that it “felt like the conclusion to an altogether different show.”
