Originally, this was supposed to be a broccoli cheddar soup, but I had some red potatoes I needed to get rid of. Now it’s a potato broccoli cheddar soup.

There's half and half in there, but honestly you leave that out and still have a really good soup.

I'm just guessing but maybe because there's way less fat in it to help seal in the flavors compared to beef?

Yup, plus turkey is predominately water and have a much bland taste.

They come in whole sausage links but I cut them because it cooks them throughout. And you have less risk of getting sick from uncooked sausage. Plus it adds more meat to evenly distribute amongst the children.
