This a little disingenuous. Tbf this all started because someone, presumably the Elite, began spreading rumors that Punk was the reason for Cabana being released(when in actuality it was just TK letting his contract expire) and then Page going into business for himself and shooting on him in a promo on live television.
Punk was wrong for how he handled it. Wrong place, wrong time, at that presser but I guess when your name is besmirched in public you gotta defend it in public *shrugs*
EVPs should know better. This also ain't the first time the Elite have been accused of being on some high school ish.

Page made a reference that was within the realm of the storyline and that went over even the most hard-core members of their audience. Punk came back THREE MONTHS later and did the very thing he is complaining about over a throwaway line in a worked promo.
But those things at least are reaction based. Wrong as his reaction was and is. Burying Colt and his mother, when Colt has never uttered Punks name or even been involved in any of this back and forth is 1000% bullshit. He was so mad at the elite that he buried Colt cabana, what did he do to deserve that?
Punk is just a cankerous ass person. Most happy when he has something to rail against. And that's been true no matter where he's wrestled for his whole career.

And no, Page went off script and was throwing vague shots at Punk talking about worker's rights and stuff like that. Punk waited months later to give him the receipt.
Like I said, Punk's name was getting besmirched in public, so he had to clear it up and defend himself in public I suppose. Idk.

Punk was wrong. Any justification is gonna fall far short of explaining why he buried Colt and Colt's mom of all people, for absolutely no reason.

Why are we having such a discussion about Colt Cabana? I don't care about dude that much. Colt was brought up because there were rumors spread by the dirt sheets( the people in that room) that people in the AEW locker room felt that punk was the reason Cabana got released. I guess he wanted to clear the air. Idk.
Like I'm not about to debate you regarding Colt freaking Cabana. The guy isn't worth all that energy. The bigger problem is "why were those rumors started in the first place?" "Why did Page go off script to take a shot at Punk?" and "why did the elite act like they acted?" You not seeing both sides of it because you don't WANT to see both sides of it. You just want to blame Punk for this mess when in actuality there are multiple people at fault.
