What Are You Cooking for Dinner Tonight??

copped some duck fat on a whim when I saw it in the store. Havent figured out what the hell ima cook with it yet tho. Im thinking of maybe trying it out on some potatoes and vegetables first

Do potatoes. It is good with eggs as well. Boil the potatoe first to soften it. Let it sit so it can cool and harden a little. The potatoe breaks apart if you try to cook it right after removing it from the water. Then cook it in the duck fat .

Though the duck fat in stores compared to collecting the fat from a duck you cook are two different levels. I couldnt imitate the flavor from the fat I collected when I used the store bought fat. But, it is still good
 
Cooked some duck. Damn it smells good. Tried a different technique this time. Cant wait to eat them onions soaked in the duck fat.

That duck fat I copped from the store, I didnt notice any difference in taste from regular oil honestly. I tried some chicken with it and some home fries. Tasted the same as it always does to me.

I gotta try the real deal at some point

Yeah, there is a big difference from collecting it from a cooked duck yourself compared to store bought. When I first tried store bought, I was disappointed. But I got me a fresh batch now.
