At least 10 people have been killed in a mass shooting in a Buffalo Supermarket by a 18yo white supremacist.

The video @deadeye posted is from a woman. She basically said the dude felt comfortable going in alone in a black neighborhood because the black community is mostly comprised of women. Made comparisons to back in the day where the men were unified. That white groups wouldnt dare go in out neighborhoods solo to cause terror. They would come in groups. I didnt watch the whole video. Skipped ahead to where she got to her point around the 6min mark.

but it just looks like she was pandering to a specific "group" of folks who want to stay in their own echo chamber

bottom line this cowardly CAC deliberately targeted black folks just shopping for groceries......all that shit in the video u posted just seems like a sly form of victim blaming and that doesn't sit well with me



if anything can be blamed on the black community at all, it might be that we are too peaceful for our own good sometimes

I think the bolded/underlined is what she was trying to get at, but she just went at it indirectly instead of addressing it head-on.

that's an interesting way of interpreting her message

cuz it just came off to me like she was blaming black women's actions for black men not being as available to protect our community

that's why her message was lost on me because if anything, the absence of black men is moreso due to external factors vs. black women embracing/supporting "strong and independent single mothers" 🙁

From the 1min I did watch, her point made no sense based on this incident. The shooter chose that particular place due to the fact no one would be armed due to the strict gun laws. It had a higher population of blacks. It wasnt a neighborhood.

When she said that black men are not around anymore, that made no sense to this case. It was 2pm on a weekday at a grocery store. You will find elderly and retirees mostly around those times. Most other people are most likely still at work.

I stopped watching the video after that.
